“ROSS” 2023 Model Gelding by DANDY CAT o/o ONE SWEET CRACKETTE
AVAILABLE ON HorseBid.com NOW
Young geldings like Ross only come around about once in a lifetime. Sorting, Heeling, Breakaway, Ranch Horse or an all around gentleman of a family horse Ross can take you in some many different directions. He was started in our program here at Hursh Performance Horses as a 2 year old and has been a favorite in the barn ever since. He had a solid start in the cutting and that is only the beginning of his ambitious resume. Ross got used out on the ranch gathering cattle on big country in New Mexico and Texas, roping and doctoring cattle out in the pasture as well as started roping in the arena, he’s drug calves to the branding fire, sorted cattle in the pens, helped start other c**ts under saddle in the roundpen, and done about everything else a ranch horse does on a ranch. There isn’t anything I’ve put this c**t to that he hasn’t taken in stride.
And talk about gentle and good minded, I broke my arm and needed surgery this spring and wasn’t able to ride for almost 2 months. When I was healed up enough to get back on a horse he was the first one I started riding because I knew that even with 2 months of I could saddle him up and he would ride off like I had just rode him yesterday.
Ross knows all the reining maneuvers, picks up both leads correctly, changes leads, will spin a hole in the ground, and stop correctly. He rides bridle less, you can hop on him ba****ck out in the pasture with nothing but a halter on, he rides one handed. He stands quite to saddle, bathe, and shoe. Loads and unloads on the trailer with ease. He’s toted little kids around, had kids running all around him making a racket all the time and nothing bothers him. Crosses water confidently, moves out relaxed and confidently in the pasture alone or in groups.
He is eligible for Royal Crown roping. NCHA super stakes.
