Just a small update on what I’ve been up to lately.

Spring cleaning came early this year — I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning and reorganizing since January. Managing multiple dogs means figuring out the best way to arrange crates and space… sometimes it feels like playing Tetris trying to make everything fit.

Still have a few small things left to finish, but it’s already looking a lot better.

In the meantime, Realistic Dog Training is now accepting new clients!

Sorry I couldn’t make it to the farmers market today. It was actually going to be my last one until sometime in Jan or February. My sister-in-law in Kansas needs surgery, and my mom—who helps watch my kiddo while I’m at the market—will be in Kansas for about six weeks helping with her 2 kids while she’s in recovery. I won’t know more until early part of Jan. I also will not be taking in new clients for training until further notice. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Four of the dogs got out of the yard tonight, and I had no idea how long they’d been loose — but when I called them, they actually came right back. It’s not the first time they’ve returned on recall; it’s just the first time I decided to get it on video.

Getting to this point took a lot of consistency. I’ve spent years recalling them multiple times a day — even for barking too much — and that repetition is what built their reliability. And to be honest, I haven’t been super consistent with E-collar training lately. Life gets busy, and I haven’t done a lot of structured off-leash work in a while. But I have kept up with regular recalls in the backyard — and tonight they came back with no E-collar on at all, which really shows how much that daily practice has paid off.

It took months/years, to get recall this solid.

PS. Please excuse the the yard, that’s just another project I need to get done.

These little Biothane Ball Holders are designed to hold your dog’s ball — but they also look adorable as Christmas ornaments or stocking stuffers. 🎄🐾🎁

After the holidays, you can clip them (with a carabiner) to a backpack, training pouch, belt loop, etc.
I have a couple in the classic loop style, and the rest are the star-shaped design, which can also hold slightly bigger balls.
Howl-iday cute now, totally useful later!

I’m launching my very first homemade training treats!
They’re made with minimal ingredients, low-fat high-protein, and I’ve been testing different recipes with my own dogs for the last four months.

I’ll have two limited flavors available for this first release:
• 🎃 Pumpkin Pie
• 🥩 Roast Beef

I’ll also have samples available so your dog can try them at the event!

These treats will be available Only at this event or other pop-ups I attend, while I wait for Farmers Market management to reopen approvals for adding new items.

🐶 I’ll also have one or two brand-new Biothane items in limited quantity Only at this event or other pop-ups. 🎁 I’m offering a Build-Your-Own Gift Box, but only three will be available for this event.
