Dogs don’t inherently understand how or why to follow leash direction. It’s a skill that must be taught through proper education, Marker (food) reward, patience consistency and repetition! Here we have Cooper a young lab with us The K9 Kamp Training & Boarding putting all his newfound skills into practice during one of our 1-1 training sessions with him today! Great job Cooper! These skills directly translate to calmer more controllable walks, structure, boundaries, and overall good canine manners!

Slowing it all down can be a great way to work high drive dogs into settling around arousal. Chief can be a very go go go boy so we’re showing him the picture here that good things come to those who “wait” 😜 not to mention a game of fetch can turn into the perfect opportunity to practice commands such as “place” “come” “off/ leave it” “down” “wait” “release”. Great job Chief! 👏 The K9 Kamp Training & Boarding
