Golden Ridge Stables has taught Minnesota to ride since 1986.

Our established horseback riding lesson program offers quality hunt seat and western lessons for youth and ladies of all ages and abilities on well-mannered school horses. Our students discover how to work with each horse on the ground as well as on its back. Riding is a life skill that teaches self-discipline, communication, and teamwork. Our goal is to develop confident lifelong horsemen. Golden

Ridge Horse Camp provides each child individual attention and structured riding lessons, all while learning fascinating facts about their horses. Campers discover how to safely work with his/her horse on the ground as well as on its back in a “hands and seat on” environment. Our fun activities include games and creative crafts. Each rider goes home with a treasured keepsake and lasting memories! Conveniently located in beautiful Lakeville, Minnesota, we ride rain or shine in our safe, clean indoor facility. Visitors are always welcome to meet our wonderful school horses and talk about our lesson program and amazing summer horse camp.

“Oh please don’t feel guilty,
It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad and the tears just seem to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime and for some it’s not many years.
I don’t want you to keep crying, you are shedding so many tears.
I have just gone to my heavenly home and I’m closer than you think.
I’m still here watching over you, I’m always in your heart.
And when it’s your turn to join me,
I’ll be waiting at heavens gate”
Last night we lost our sweet boy Chance. When we rescued Chance 3 years ago we had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into. Upon picking him up, Ann and Mari were informed that Chance had been mauled by a stallion and was pretty beat up. He was skinny, scruffy and understandably scared but he hopped on the trailer and home we went. We decided we were taking a pretty big chance on him and that’s how he got his name 💙 After several months of food, vet, farrier work, and Sabrina and Mari spoiling him, we felt Chance was ready for someone to swing a leg over. Sabrina was our sacrifice and what do you know Chance went around like a champ. We started using him in lessons and he turned out to be a saint. Beginners and camp kids were Chance’s specialty, he was an excellent start/stop/steer teacher. We will especially miss the way he would nicker when playing red light green light. Chance was an incredibly goofy guy and we will miss him dearly. Chance we don’t know what your story was before you came to us but we sure are glad we got to be a part of it. You will be the cutest angel buddy, enjoy your new wings. We love you buddy 💙 If you have a favorite Chance story or memory we would love for you to share it with us!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the barn
Not a creature was stirring, not even the kittens;
The stockings were hung by the TA’s with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The horses were nestled all snug in their stalls;
While visions of sugar-cubes danced in their heads;
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

We may be biased but we think we have the very best school horses. Every year we have people ask us what our school horses would like for Christmas, so we have compiled a list of their wishes. Follow the link to see the list: https://www.giftster.com/gift/public/uqjg6/
While gifts are fun, our school horses are just as appreciative for an extra snuggle or treat too 💙💛💙
