Starscream is still missing. We are overwhelmed with the community support in our search for finding our boy. Going forward, our only updates will be made on our page. It’s gotten too large to try to keep track of all of the remarks and comments, all of which we appreciate. So please follow Meowtown Animal Rescue on Facebook if you don’t currently so you can keep informed of our recovery efforts. If you see a cat who you think might be Starscream, please, Facebook message Meowtown Animal Rescue or call/text to 573-480-3903 or 573-434-9207.  we are under the assumption. He’s in the Camdenton area, but that information isn’t necessarily credible. He could be absolutely anywhere in the Lake area. Our hearts are broken, but we will never stop looking for him.

The Meowtown founders, Tom and Toni, spent yesterday evening searching neighborhoods in Camdenton to no avail. Please text 573-480-3903 or 573-434-9307 or facebook message us with any sighting information, including the time you saw what we hope to be Starscream. He’s been out since 5/24, so we assume he’s lost some of his 18 lbs, but he is a big/long cat with a small white dot on his throat. He is shy and by now probably traumatized, but he loves food. Thank you for caring enough to help look for him. Last possible sightings include behind The Butcher Shop and Sakelaris dealership.

I have a black/catahoula leopard mix of a dog.He is 2 years old. His name is bear. He is a very loving dog. He is very good with kids all ages.and adults. He weighs between 100 and 120 pounds. HE is very territorial! He can not live with other dogs or cats! When he was a puppy, he was attracted as a puppy. He can not live with other dogs or cats! There is no rehome fee. He is fixed. I just wanted him to go to a good and loving family.

We’re getting sightings of who we pray is our Starscream. A very large black cat, no collar, with a white dot on this throat. He probably won’t come to you but he likes food! Please FB message us or text to 573-480-3903 or 573-434-9207 any sighting and as detailed location as possible as it’s happening. We’re trying to plot his path. Together, we can bring our boy back to Meowtown!

For those of you giving away free kittens, please be very careful about their new homes. We have been advised that there are people taking entire litters of kittens, which sounds great. In reality, what we’ve been told is that they become snake food. Free kittens are cheaper than purchased food. None of this would be an issue if people would spay/neuter their pets. There are many low cost alternatives to allowing your pet to get pregnant. Cats are much healthier and live a lot longer if they are indoor only pets. You can read this statistics online. We have bobcat tick disease here at the lake, which is virtually fatal. It is an agonizing death. So do everybody a favor, spay or neuter your pet and keep them inside.
