Lake Oswego Hunt LOH - Premier Equestrian Facility & Historic Community Landmark Welcome to Lake Oswego Hunt Club (LOH)! LOH is a Northwest treasure, too.

LOH consists of 19 acres conveniently located in Lake Oswego, just 10 minutes from downtown Portland. Our riding academy, training programs, and shows are open to the public! It will turn 85 in 2022 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The Riding Academy offers one of the area’s best and most comprehensive beginning and intermediate lesson programs for youth and adults. All ages and

all skill levels will enjoy the high-quality and talented horses that make the Riding Academy truly special. We offer summer day camps, too. We supply the horses, and tack. Please contact LOH at 503-636-0674, or [email protected]

LOH is a non-profit organization based on a membership model. Everyone is welcome to enjoy our facility and to apply for membership, but membership is NOT necessary to enjoy most of our programs. Rain has stopped, SUN is out....come join the annual Raise the Roof event at Lake Oswego Hunt. All proceeds go to preserving this amazing historic barn and equine education.

Haven't had a chance to purchase tickets....no problem....they can be purchased at the door.

Event starts at 2pm today and goes to 6pm. Pony rides, horse events, auction, games, local food and drinks!

Hello friends of Lake Oswego Hunt!

Our 7th annual Raise the Roof event is fast approaching. It is a fun event for all ages and supports the beloved Historical site in the heart of Lake Oswego.

For those of you that don't know, Lake Oswego Hunt was built in the 1930's and continues to be a very active equine center for riders of all ages. LOH is non-profit that's mission is to continue to care and upkeep our historic facility and provide top equine education to our riders.

2025 Summer Camp is a wrap!

Over 10 weeks this summer, LOH provided an introduction to riding and horsemanship to over 140 kids, ages 5-12. Summer camps were successful this year thanks to our incredible Riding Academy team, including 9 dedicated instructors, dozens of interns, and 15 equine staff. All together, this team supported almost 300 hours of instruction, mounted and unmounted. Other metrics from this year's summer camps include:
- over 2,800 hooves picked
- over 700 bits cleaned
- over 75 tails braided
- over 3,200 high-fives given

Our arena painting project is complete, and WOW does it look fantastic!! Both ends of our historic indoor arena have been washed, repaired and painted. We are very grateful to City of Lake Oswego, Local Government's Historic Preservation Grant Program, Rick Scheu & Construction Now, and Rodda-Miller Paint (on State Street) for making this project happen!

It takes a village to keep a historic community resource like the Hunt well-maintained and looking its best. Join us at our 7th annual fundraising event Raise the Roof on September 14th to learn about the work we do to preserve this unique place.

Dressage at Lake Oswego Hunt 2025 had a fun and successful weekend. The cloudy weather was blissful and the horses and riders were amazing! 🐴
