A Farewell from Saddle Up Stables
It is with very heavy hearts that our family announces the sale of our beloved business, Saddle Up Stables.
This decision has been one of the hardest our family has ever had to make, and one that we did not take lightly or without many tears. However, after spending every Memorial Day to Labor Day dedicated to the stable, the time has come for us to slow down.
Our life at Saddle Up has been the only life we have known, and we will miss it dearly. Our grandfather began the tradition of traveling from North Carolina to Upstate New York in the 1930s, and from that tradition, Saddle Up Stables was born. Our parents, Henry and Dixie, grew the business and passed it along to us, their daughters. Though a business at the start, Saddle Up soon grew to became so much more, it truly became our way of life.
Over the decades, we have been blessed with many incredible employees and customers who helped make the business what you know it as today. Many who have become like family. From our staff to customers alike, we have had the immense honor to watch them grow, raise families of their own, and return with their own children and grandchildren to experience the same unforgettable summers they themselves once enjoyed at the Stables. This connection is one of the things our family will miss the most, not seeing our returning customers and employees every summer.
We think of our father, Henry, who loved sitting on the porch, talking with visitors, and hearing stories from years gone by. In that spirit, we ask that you continue to reminisce, reconnect, and share your stories with us and one another, so that the legacy of Saddle Up Stables can continue on, and hold a special place in your hearts.
To everyone who made Saddle Up the unforgettable place that it was, we want to say one last THANK YOU!! These decades have been life making. Thank you for being part of our journey. Your support, friendship and time spent with us will stay with us forever. As our dad, Henry always wanted to hear "Happy Trails" playing at the stables, we truly mean it......Happy Trails, Until We Meet Again.
With love and immense gratitude,
The Saddle Up Stables Family
