Leaf piles, happy tails & a little fall TLC!🐾🍁

There’s nothing quite like watching our pups enjoy that crisp fall air and all those crunchy leaves. 🍁 But did you know fleas and ticks can still be active during autumn?

After your next backyard adventure or neighborhood stroll, take a quick peek through your pet’s fur, especially around the ears, collar, paws, and under the legs. Think of it as one last little check before cozying up inside! 🤎

Because the best kind of fall memories are the ones spent happy, healthy, and together. 🐶🍂

🐾It’s time to fall back!🐾

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour this Sunday, November 1st! ⏰

While you enjoy that extra hour of sleep, remember our furry friends may need a little extra patience as they adjust to the time change, too.🤎

Wishing our AWA family a cozy fall weekend filled with extra snuggles! 🐶🍁

⚠️ QUICK PSA ⚠️

Halloween is one of the liveliest nights of the year for ghouls, goblins, and little monsters to be out and about! 👻🎃

Please take extra precautions and keep your pets safely indoors unless they’re securely leashed and supervised. 🐾

Between trick-or-treaters, open doors, spooky costumes, and unexpected noises, Halloween can be a little too spooky for our furry friends! 🧡

Stay safe, stay spooky, and give those pets some extra love tonight! 🐶🐱

Dogs can read more than we think

🐶👀 Your dog is watching you. Like… REALLY watching you.

Dogs are surprisingly skilled at interpreting human gestures, body posture, facial expressions and other social cues.

So when your dog somehow knows you’re reaching for the leash before you’ve even said the word…

They may not be psychic.

They may just be very, very good at reading you.

Which means that little look you give them when they’re standing suspiciously close to the treat cabinet?

They probably understand that too. 😂🐾

National Cat Day is here! 🐾💙

Whether you have a cat at home or simply admire them from afar, one thing’s for sure: cats deserve to be purr-fectly pampered and loved! 🐈‍⬛✨

Fall décor: adorable. Fall décor inside a dog’s stomach: less adorable.

Pumpkins themselves can be perfectly fine in appropriate forms, but decorative gourds and corn cobs can become dangerous if chewed and swallowed.🎃

Some can cause intestinal blockages — and those can require surgery.

So before you leave that gorgeous fall display unattended:

👀 Look at it from your pet’s perspective.

If it looks like something they could chew…

They probably agree.🤷🏻‍♀️
