💜 Especially with young dogs and dogs that don't do well with grooming - consistency is key!! As they get in the routine and come to know what to expect, they gain trust and confidence, and start to be okay with the process. Also, if a dog is matted, nails are long, ears are dirty and inflamed, they are going to be uncomfortable and sore - not wanting a groomer to be touching them and moving them around. 💜

Trends come and go, but when they affect the well being of a living creature they should be stopped in their tracks!
🛑 Cropping ears and tails is a painful process that doesn't always heal properly and can later effect a dog's overall health
🛑 Short and stubby legs and snouts seem cute, but what about their mobility or their ability to breath properly
🛑 Towering and muscular physiques are commanding and impressive, but it also has impressive affects on their bone structure and quality of life
💔 Unfortunately because we deem these things to be cute or cool, they become exploited and amplified, and countless animals are bred to have these features that are "in demand", or put through unnecessary medical procedures because the breed has commonly been portrayed that way.
💡 The thing about trends though is, when the demand for them disappears, the producers stop manufacturing them 🤷🏼‍♀️
