Meet Pia! 🐾

Born around May 9th, Pia is a petite little girl who weighs about half of what an average kitten her age does—but don’t let her tiny size fool you! She has a HUGE personality.

Pia is a total cuddle bug who loves to play, is extremely canned-food motivated, and is super nosey. She truly believes she needs to be right in the middle of everything you’re doing!
🐶 The "Chihuahua" Act: When Pia first meets new animals, she puts on a bit of a front—she’ll growl and act tough for a couple of days (we think she's just a little scared at first). But as soon as she realizes they’re friends, she drops the act and is ready to play!

UPDATE 2: We spoke with Animal Control and they are willing to set a trap if they know the dog is hanging in one location. We're are inside is this is one of two dogs that were released so if you're by Diggins Hill and still see this one, please report it to animal control but PLEASE don't try to grab the dog. The goal is to keep it feeling comfortable in one area so traps can be set

UPDATE; Please do not go to the area looking for the dog. People wandering can cause her/him to nice from the area. We've been informed that the Sheriff's office called the contact person back this morning and they are setting one of their own live traps

🚨👋🚨PLEASE be extra careful near the curve and Diggins Hill in Cadillac!!

Small dog dumped 😡 on Plett Rd near Diggins Hill. Poor thing is terrified and confused so please DO NOT try to chase or call her/him to you, we don't want to scare away from the area. Neighbors have food and shelter out for this dog while we work together on catching.

If you know who's dog this is or have a humane trap we can borrow, please reach out (she may be a little too big for our cat ones).

Also, Thank you tool all of our amazing adopters and donors for your support! Our donation match Two Dollar Tuesday brought in 120 for our anonymous donor to match. This helps more than you can imagine. We've recently taken several kitties in for their rabies vaccines (225) and took our sanctuary boy, Mushu in for a checkup because of a crunchy back. Begins the scenes we are paying for monthly medications for 2 dogs, treating pets for worms, fleas, upper respiratory medicine, vaccines, etc. These are the expenses you don't think about, but it's a reality.
