We've been keeping a secret!
Almost Home Humane Society has found a new home! Since 1939, we have been dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need. With our original building coming to the end of its lifespan, we are in need of a new place. We’re excited to announce our $2.2 million building campaign! We'll be located in the building formerly known as "The Dog House", giving it new life to support our community’s needs. Join us in building a better future for our animals and community by donating today. Every dollar brings us closer to making this dream a reality.

8 Puppies Looking to Head Home! 🎉

We have quite a few puppies ready to head home! Every puppy has a unique personality with plenty of s***k and energy to match. These puppies are eager to meet you and could thrive in a variety of home environments. They've done well with other dogs, meeting kids and cats.

Raising a puppy comes with so much excitement and joy as you grow together! We remind adopters that puppy raising also includes potty training, teaching manners, appropriate socialization and experiences, and maybe a chewed up remote or shoe here and there. It's all part of the journey!

If you're interested in adopting, stop by anytime we're open! Same day adoptions provided (with an approved application). Please bring any dogs in the home to do an on site dog to dog meet and greet prior to adoption.

Another sponsored pup ready to head home thanks to Stephanie McKinley-Real Estate! Stephanie came in to visit Luca, who's been settling in and coming out of his shell. He was excited for some attention and has been such a champion as he adjusts to the shelter environment. Luca is 2 years old, and has done well with dogs and children in the past! He loves to run around and be a goof. His playful side is his favorite and he is always eager to stretch his legs outside in the yards. He's just a big, friendly dude looking to have some fun in his new home!

A big thank you to the residents at Digby Place for making our pets shine as they wait for their new homes. The residents spent time making dog bandanas to make sure our pups looked their best for National Dog Day! Each bandana was handmade with love and good luck. We are constantly reminded of what an amazing community we have surrounding us and such love for our animals. Thank you!

Meet Isla! 🏝

All of Miss Isla's s***ky little kittens have gotten adopted, leaving this lovey-dovey mama still waiting for her forever home. She's been nothing short of a sweetheart during her time with us. Transferred to us from a high-capacity shelter, she's waiting for her second chance at love!
Isla would do well in a home with other cats and seems to get along with dogs as well! During her time in a foster home, she's also done spectacular with young children!

We have two adoptable gerbils that would love to find a home! 🐾Chips Ahoy and Oreo are about 1 year old, males, and are best of friends. They were surrendered for no fault of their own and are ready for adoption! They'll need to head home together, and will go home in their current cage.

We have over 50 adoptable cats ready to head home today! 🐱

While our team cares for our medical intakes, neonates, nursing moms and babies, and cats who are still settling in, our adoptable cats are waiting for their families. Every adoption opens a kennel for another pet in need and gives our team and volunteers more time to focus on the animals who need a little extra care.

We’re open for walkthroughs, pet visits, and adoptions anytime we’re open! Stop in and see if your new best friend is waiting for you.
