Yesterday we said goodbye to a very special member of our extended family, Cody. Cody has been a part of Paradise Pet Care for over 12 years.

For many years, we had the privilege of caring for this sweet soul, and it’s hard to put into words how much he meant to us. Cody wasn’t just a client — he was a part of daily rhythm, his routine, and part of all of our hearts. From the little quirks that made us all smile to the quiet moments of snuggles on the couch, he left a lasting imprint on all of us.

We feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of his life for so long, and our hearts are with Cody’s family during this painful time. Thank you for trusting us with someone so deeply loved.

Run free, Cody. You will always be remembered at Paradise. 🐾

Let’s talk about something that might be an unpopular opinion.

*There is a deference between professional pet sitters and people who do this has a side job. There we said it.

Let’s talk about experience. We have years of experience under us and continue to grow.

* Knowledge of different breeds. How to handle aggressive dogs or none friendly dogs. What to do in a situation that occurs between dogs.

* At Paradise Pet Care we have a support system. A team to back us up. To call in case of an emergency. NOW here is out. We know a lot of professional dog walkers who don’t have a team BUT they have a back up plan in case of an emergency.

Why this is important! We have seen so many pet situations end poorly because the pet sitter was inexperienced and had no knowledge of the pets they were sitting.

This was such a fun trail to explore. Hidden in the pockets of a neighborhood. It’s a short walk down into the canyon but so beautiful once you step in. It’s like being swallowed up by nature.

Be cautious walking and watch out for snakes.
Don’t let your dogs roam off leash.

Sparky is a very cool senior dog. My family has been watching him for a few weeks and one of my sitters as well. Unfortunately his owner, who is also a senior, got hurt and is not able to care for him any more. He’s a very easy and sweet guy, and in great health for his age. He doesn’t require long walks or any special care. He’ll bond with you within days and will brighten up your day. His owner is checking with a few rescues who do older dog placement but it costs a few thousand dollars. If you can rehome this great little guy, please text me personally 805-680-1974 or paradise pet care line. If you can’t take him right away, we can hold on to him through mid to late May (after that we leave for the summer).

Sparky is an adorable senior doxydoodle with a heart full of love and a gentle, happy spirit. He’s the last of a once lively pack and truly thrives on companionship—whether it’s with other dogs, kids, or adults. He’s never met a human he didn’t love!
This sweet boy is a certified cuddle expert. He adores snuggling up, soaking in chin rubs, and happily curling up in your lap. Sparky gets especially excited around mealtime (his little happy dances are the cutest!) and enjoys relaxing with long naps throughout the day. He also likes short, easy walks to stretch his legs and explore.
As a senior pup, Sparky does have some incontinence, but he’s very well diaper trained and actually loves wearing his belly band—he’ll even do adorable little circles when it’s time to put it on!
Sparky would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate dog who just wants to be close and loved.
