Looking for a loyal, loving companion? Oreo might just be your perfect match! This sweet 2-year-old Staffy mix is full of love, charm, and personality. He absolutely adores cuddles, body rubs, and being talked to—he’s a total sweetheart who thrives on attention and affection.
Oreo is one smart cookie! He already knows commands like sit and down, and he takes treats very gently. He’s highly motivated by both treats and human interaction, which makes him a great candidate for continued training.
He’s wonderful with children and would make a fantastic family dog. Oreo recently completed the Powder Pals program, where he worked on improving his impulse control and manners. He’s made great progress, especially with greeting people more politely—though he can still get excited and may try to jump up to say hello.
Oreo is an athletic, strong boy (60+ lbs) who would thrive in an active home. Daily walks, jogging, and regular exercise are key to helping him stay happy and balanced.
Things to know about Oreo:
Oreo is still working on a couple of habits. He can be a strong puller on leash, especially at the start of walks when he’s excited and ready to go. The good news? After he gets some energy out, he settles nicely and becomes much easier to handle. He also sometimes jumps up when greeting people—he’s just so happy to say hello! With consistency, exercise, and continued training, he’s already showing great improvement in both areas.
When it comes to other dogs, Oreo has come a long way. He wasn’t well-socialized early on, so his initial approach can be a bit enthusiastic or unsure. However, with proper introductions and a little time to settle (like going for a walk together), he does very well and even has a few dog friends now! A meet-and-greet is required for any potential canine companions to ensure a good fit.
Oreo will need a home without small animals or cats.
