We hunted a new area today. We have only scouted this spot the one time and I wasn’t there the day my husband came back and hung my tree stand. He told me he broke me a path to follow and I was positive I would find it no problem. I followed the path and it was very clear, but then it was like it ran out and I wasn’t seeing my tree stand (keep in mind it’s dark and I’m using a head lamp). I decided to try to stay on the most obvious course thinking I still had a little ways to go. So along I went, but we eventually realized I had gone way too far. While I was on that journey I was pondering, thinking about our spiritual walk and how sometimes the path seems clear and obvious but sometimes we aren’t so sure. See the devil is going to lay snares in your way, he WILL try to divert your path ESPECIALLY if you’re walking the right one. I eventually made it back to my tree after some radio guidance from my hubs. If I had asked for help when I wasn’t sure then it certainly would have saved me some steps and sweat lol so this is your reminder to stop trying to do everything by your own strength and ask for some guidance from The One who is always listening. When we are weak then Christ’s strength can be demonstrated through us.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

That’s a wrap on whitetail for the 24/25 season! Still working on a few other mounts and things but whitetail are finished and I’ll be ready for next season! Just wow y’all.. this is my very first season as a taxidermist and y’all definitely showed up for me this year. I’m so grateful to have been entrusted with your trophies and for being given the opportunity to learn and grow. I’ve come a long way but I still have plenty more to learn. I just want to thank you, every one of you!
