Our hounds are officially retired, at least for a while. After Annie's last litter, she had to have an emergency C-section, and had 3 beautiful puppies, all 3 survived, but it was traumatic for her, and the puppies...btw all are doing well and in their new homes. Pictured is Joker, Annie and Stinkerbutt ❤️❤️❤️
But the sad news was that 2 days after she and the puppies came home, we lost Gunny, her mate...we were devastated.💔
With the loss of 11 out of 13 puppies from Annie's previous litter, and Elsie 6 months before...it was just too much for our hearts to bear.
So, we still have our basset hounds, Duker Dog, and Baby Girl, they are also retired. The bloodhounds remaining are Stinkerbutt (please no judgement, my husband named him, because he is indeed, a STINKERBUTT), Red, Homer, Joker and Annie.
Stinkerbutt, is the last of the line that I may breed if I were to find the right female for him, he is now 2 years old. But, like I said, there has been too much heartache for us to consider it right now.
