Meet today’s Second Chance Sunday ✨Chance The Happiest Tripod✨

If you think three legs slows a dog down you haven’t met Chance! Chance came into rescue with an injury that ended up costing him his leg but losing his leg has never once dimmed this sweet boys enthusiasm for life!

Chance is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who lives life full speed ahead with a tail that doesn’t stop wagging and a heart that’s bursting with love.

Chance is a social and easy going boy who enjoys other dogs and gets along wonderfully with his foster brothers and sisters! Being a tripod doesn’t hold him back one bit! He runs with his friends, plays with his toys and even gets the zoomies just like any other happy pup!

Chance is also incredibly smart and has already learned sit, down, come, leave it, place and more!

More than anything, Chance loves people. He’s incredibly affectionate, intuitive, and has a special way of connecting with his humans and forming deep bonds. He’ll be the best companion you’ve ever had whether it’s snuggling up on the couch or enjoying a walk together, Chance just wants someone that will appreciate what a loyal sidekick he truly is!

He may feel a little unsure around smaller dogs and hasnt been tested with cats yet, but his gentle, thoughtful nature makes him a wonderful companion in the right home.

🚨 200+ SHARES. ZERO FOSTERS. 10 DOGS STILL WAITING. 🚨

We honestly don’t know what else to do.

Our original post asking for fosters for this family has been shared more than 200 times on Facebook alone, yet not a single foster has stepped up for the 10 Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/maybe St. Bernard mixes still sitting at the Greenville shelter.

Please stop waiting for the next person to step up.

Every single day these dogs remain at the shelter, they are at greater risk of being euthanized for space. Shares help us reach people, but we cannot save these dogs without somewhere for them to go.

So far, we have been able to take in one of them: Miracle. And she has been an absolute sweetheart.

Despite coming to us in rough shape and clearly having been bred over and over, Miracle is incredibly sweet and loves people. She loves being brushed and is:

🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Cat friendly
🐾 Goat friendly
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Potty trained

She is not chicken friendly, but hey, nobody’s perfect. 😅

Miracle has shown us exactly why these dogs deserve a chance.

There are still 10 members of her family sitting in the shelter waiting for someone to give them that same chance.

We know people love these big, fluffy Pyr mixes. We know there are people in our community capable of fostering one. We need someone to stop scrolling, stop assuming somebody else will do it, and step up.

Fostering is temporary. Ruff Road Revival provides the veterinary care and support. You provide the safe place they need to get out of the shelter alive.

🚨 FOSTER TAKEOVERS NEEDED FOR TWO PUPPIES 🚨

Update! Gecko (orange/brown) still needs a foster! Gator is covered.

Looking for a puppy (or two!) to love on? Gecko and Gator are two very sweet 8-week-old Australian Shepherd/Boxer mix boys who need foster takeovers! 🐾💙

These two can be fostered together or separately, so whether you have room for one puppy or both, we’d love to hear from you!

Since Gecko and Gator are still so young, their fosters will need to be able to take them to TCAP locations for their remaining vetting, practice no paws on the ground while they finish their puppy vaccines, and help them learn all the important puppy things that will set them up for success in their future homes.

Both boys are incredibly sweet and ready for a foster family to love on them while they wait for their forever homes. 🥹

For today’s foster of the month we’d like to say a big thank you to Michaele Giles!

Michaele is fostering Sadie, who we pulled from Greenville Animal Shelter. Sadie came to us heartworm positive, very skinny, and (unknowingly) had some sort of liver infection. Michaele has been amazing with her communication, has gotten Sadie to the vet multiple times on short notice with zero complaint, and has taken amazing individualized care of her- even cooking her beef tips when she wouldn’t eat anything else! Sadie isn’t 100% yet but she is doing exponentially better and a massive part of that is thanks to her foster.

Thank you Michaele for being such an amazing foster!

Suki is absolutely thriving in her forever home! Her family says they’re just as obsessed with her as she is with them. 🥹

She loves with her whole goofy heart, can’t get enough of the outdoors, and is always ready for a good nap or a carrot snack. 🥕 She even has a best friend, Maisey, who joins her on adventures!

Suki has become the perfect addition to her family, and they simply can’t imagine life without her. ❤️

🚨 URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED — GREENVILLE, TX 🚨

Fourteen Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mixes suddenly found themselves without a home after their owner was sent to prison. Through absolutely no fault of their own, this entire family was surrendered to the Greenville shelter.

Now, they need help.

The shelter is extremely overcrowded, and with kennel space running out, these dogs — along with the other dogs already there — are at very high risk of euthanasia. We desperately need fosters so we can get as many of them to safety as possible.

These dogs have spent their lives living primarily outdoors, and suddenly everything they know has changed. They’re now surrounded by unfamiliar people, dogs, noises, and kennels. A foster home could quite literally save a life.

We’ve already taken one of them, Miracle, into a temporary foster, and what we’re seeing in a home is very different from the information that was provided about her at intake. Miracle has proven to be crate trained, potty trained, dog friendly AND cat friendly!

We also need a foster for Tracker, an 11-month-old Shepherd mix who is dog friendly, kid friendly, and already house trained!

Meet Sage 🐾

Sage is a 1.5-year-old, 55-pound German Shepherd mix with a happy, friendly personality and the perfect balance of playful energy and relaxation.

Sage loves getting outside to run and play, but she’s equally happy enjoying some downtime with her people afterward. And if belly scratches are involved? Even better! They’re easily one of her favorite things.

This girl has truly never met a stranger. Sage is friendly with everyone she meets and loves being around people. She’s also dog and cat friendly with proper introductions and does great with kids, making her a wonderful fit for many different types of families.

Sage is also a smart girl who already has quite a few skills under her belt. She knows her name, sit, stay, and shake, and comes when called most of the time. She’s always ready to show off what she knows—especially if some attention is involved!
