Wulf's Den

This week Walmart had full length mirrors on sale for under eight dollars. If you don’t have access to watching yourself in a mirror as you practice, this is a good time to get one. Or if not feasible see if you can find a shopping area with plate glass windows. Then you can watch your reflection . And most importantly, your dog watching you so you can reward for that .

Holiday Bandanas!
A young lady I know is making Killer dog neck bandanas! I said I’d let some friends know. $10 and worth it! They don’t tie, but have scrunchie-like material and go over the head to fit around the neck. Order by neck size. If you order you can pay via Zelle to Kelly and either pick them up here at my house or arrange with Kelly to pick up in Denton. You will not be disappointed! Cracker is sporting his Halloween version! Shop Matilda’s* Workshop and help build a young girl’s college fund!
Please note that xl might be a bit more as it takes so much more material.
*Matilda is her dog, currently showing in rally! Every 12 year old girl should be so lucky to have a (rescue) dog like her!

Would anyone be interested in a afternoon buried sent work class?
If so, what level would you want to work?
Would you want to work novice (sand)or would you like to work advanced(water) or would you like to work with both and all the odors?
I’m thinking of an afternoon session followed by an early evening session. The goal is to be done by 7:30.
Let me know if there’s interest for any of that! And we will see what we could work out

If you attended the last Karen Deeds seminar here in August, did you by chance get video of Karen working with Bock, desensitizing him to the broom?

This came up in my Facebook memories today so I thought I’d share. From 4 years ago-

Here are CrackerJack’s results from Monday’s ASCA Obedience trial.
Trial 1-Q! And CD title
Moved to Open for trial 2. That was purely to see his ability to perform at that level. I wanted to see the holes in our training.

I had to research to find out the last time I competed in Obedience!
I’ve put 5 CD’s on 3 German Shepherd Dogs in 3 registries
1st being Wulf prior to 1994.
Tyr got his U-CD in 1999
Lar got his AKC CD in 2005
I’ve only put a CDX on one dog, Wulf, who earned his U-CDX in 1994 and came back at age 8 to earn his AKC CDX in 1998.
So 2005 was the last I ever titled in Obedience at any level.
(Tanner and Gus were into different things)
On Monday CrackerJack got Q 3 for his ASCA CD!
So we moved up to Open where I hadn’t shown since 1998!!!
It had been a long time but I had a lot of fun, and of course it always feels better to bring home ribbons! AND a good dog!

Working on calm greetings. Watch how Cracker looks at her and then at me, and he gets marked and reinforced for that.
