GROOMER TIP FROM THE BARK ✂️🐶

If you’ve got a doodle, poodle mix, or long-coated pup, here’s something our groomers wish more people knew:

A fluffy coat needs more than a quick once-over with the brush. A lot of tangles hide underneath the top layer — especially in doodle coats.

One of the best things you can do at home is something called “line brushing,” where you brush in small sections all the way down to the skin instead of just brushing over the surface. A metal comb is also your best friend! If the comb glides through easily, you’re in great shape.

The sneakiest spots for tangles?
✨ Behind the ears
✨ Under the harness/collar
✨ Armpits
✨ Legs & tail fluff

We’ve been seeing lots of spring/summer shave downs lately because coats can mat up fast this time of year — especially after swimming, daycare, humidity, or outdoor adventures.

And honestly? It happens more easily than people think and its never a comfortable situation for your dog to be running around with matts tugging at their skin.

Keeping your pup on a regular grooming schedule and doing little brushing sessions throughout the week can make a huge difference in keeping that coat soft, comfy, and fluffy. 🐩💛

Tuesday’s agility play was a HIT. 🐶💨

Turns out dogs really enjoy launching themselves through tunnels, climbing things they absolutely weren’t invited onto, and showing off for the Barkrangers like tiny furry athletes.

Agility play is part confidence building, part enrichment, and part “look mom I’m FAST.” Safe to say everyone slept well after daycare. 😌
