What a privilege to be part of such an amazing program based on the health of French Bulldogs.

At Smoky Mountain Frenchies we love our pack just like our family, well let’s be real, they ARE our family. More importantly we take the health of our dogs seriously.

The focuses on breeders who come together and take health testing a step further. Genetic DNA testing is always important to do to help breed to prevent any genetic flaws, but actually doing OFA testing checks the things that are hidden and we can’t typically see with our eyes. The Orthopedic Foundation of Animals digs deep into doing specialized exams and X-rays to check the bone structure and growth along with testing on eyes, tracheas, cardiac, and hearing.

We are starting out with our boys that we will be using for outside studs and will work down our lines. Every one of our dogs are DNA health tested and cleared. We have one girl that has one copy of CY3 and we will only pair her with a health tested stud that is completely clear to eliminate this being passed on to the offspring. This is why testing matters! We pair to BETTER the breed not worsen it.

The FBDF is a place that all us like minded breeders come together and share information to learn how to make Frenchies GREAT again! Health Matters!

We are just getting started! Trace just turned one and he had his first OFA Preliminary test on his Patella’s and they are NORMAL 🌟🙌 We can’t wait to watch as the others start rolling in!

This breeding right here is where Smoky Mountain Frenchies starts to set itself apart from all others. This breeding was carefully planned years in advance to produce a line of structure and health in mind! 🙌

When you’re a breeder you should always have a vision and plan, with health always being on the forefront!!!

These two are both small and compact, weighing 18-20 lbs. along with amazing structure! Both are health tested and cleared (Savannah was 6 panel tested and cleared, Blaze 8 panel tested and 7 cleared, he carry’s 1 copy of CDDY. Trust me when I say it’s almost impossible to find a French Bulldog without at least ONE copy, I tried hard) 🧬

Blaze is a production from SMF Bristol x Bodhi (A long history of good OFA testing in his line) .frenchies .frenchies

This is what I thrive to produce!!!! 🔥🤌

This is Trace produced by us here at Smoky Mountain Frenchies. His structure is absolutely amazing! He resides in Oregon with our friends & co-owners and is absolutely loved and cherished beyond words. They work with him daily and are always taking him on walks to ensure he’s the healthiest he can be. 💪

Soon we will be doing some preliminary OFA testing and he will be heading in for his official semen analysis with his reproductive vet. Be watching for him to start working. If you have a female that has OFA testing you’ll be offered a discount to use him as well 🙌

Trace comes from a OFA tested line with good to excellent results, we are expecting nothing less from him. We do have results of his Sires (Bodhi ) test results for anyone who’s interested in using him. Both parents are 7 panel health tested and cleared, the only thing he carry’s is a copy of CDDY (which I’ve learned is impossible to find a frenchie without due to short legs) 🤏

With this guy if you’re wanting health and structure he’s going to be the one you’ll want to watch for 👀

He had his official exam today and he’s ready for the ladies 💦🙌 He is super concentrated 500+ million with only .5cc for his first collection! 📈

If the stars align ✨ and I am ready to mentally have another round of babies this will be our next pairing. I’m still healing from my heartbreak from my Savannah breeding after losing a little girl that I gave my entire soul and energy to for over a month then had to say goodbye. I understand it’s part of the process and we can’t save every baby but it still hurts. I do this because I do LOVE it and the reward of watching our babies grow with their families is the best. This is a hurdle I need to overcome.

Nisha is due to come into heat around Christmas 🎄 which means the babies should arrive in March if things go as planned.

We’ve had a lot of requests for babies after our last litter had all been reserved. If you are looking for a baby this will be your next opportunity.
