We had a wonderful Pack Walk at UT Gardens this week, enjoying the beautiful weather alongside dedicated owners and some very hardworking dogs! 🌿🐾

A special shoutout to Noodle, who has officially been adopted! ❤️ While he’s currently boarding with his former foster mom, he got to tag along for another pack walk and absolutely crushed it. It’s always so rewarding to see dogs continue to thrive after finding their forever homes.

One of our favorite things about these walks is watching dogs and their people build confidence, practice real-world skills, and strengthen their relationships in a supportive environment. Pack walks are just one of the many ways we help our clients create lasting success beyond training sessions.

We’re so grateful for our amazing North Star K9 community and the commitment our owners put into their dogs every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us—we can’t wait to see you at the next pack walk! 🐕✨

Tonight’s pack walk and patio sit out path!

We will meet at the Ijams Welcome Center (heads up you do have to pay for parking unless you have a pass!) then we will walk to Mead’s Quarry and back. The path is paved. Meet at 430, will begin walking by 440!

After our walk, we will drive to South Knox to sit on a patio and enjoy a beverage at Southside Garage for a beverage and hang! They have a food truck there and South Coast Pizza across the street if you’re looking to stay for dinner!

You’re welcome to come to the walk and skip the patio or vice versa depending on you and your dog’s needs!

As always, bring water for you and your dog, and bug spray is never a bad idea!

Give it up for Abbey and Tracey!!! 👏🏼 Abbey just finished her week of Hybrid Training Camp while her mom, Tracey, got to enjoy a vacation! Abbey learned skills like Place, off leash Come, Sit, Down, Off and loose leash walking! As a bonus she got to socialize with other dogs and best of all, learned how to settle! Anyone who knows Abbey knows she’s naturally caffeinated and usually thinks sleep is overrated. She mastered the art of the chill!

One year old Aussie mix Hopeson came to North Star K9 needing help learning how to be a good hang in everyday life! Like a lot of young, busy herding breed dogs, he had a big brain, big feelings, and needed guidance on how to settle, listen, and exist more comfortably in the chaos of real life.

Hopeson completed our Hybrid Training Camp — combining one week of Adventure Training Camp with five private one hour lessons for his family so everyone learned together as a team. Today he officially graduated, and his family is thrilled with how much more manageable, confident, and relaxed he has become!

Now Hopeson can settle in public, listen around distractions, and participate in his family’s busy lifestyle with so much more success. Watching dogs go from overwhelmed to capable and connected is one of our favorite parts of this job. We are so proud of this sweet boy and excited for all the adventures ahead for him and his humans!

📸✨ NOODLE HAS BEEN SERVING LOOKS ALL OVER KNOXVILLE ✨📸

At this point we’re starting to think Noodle missed his calling as a travel influencer or dog model. He definitely knows his angles and apparently only has good sides. 😌

This handsome 3.5-year-old beagle mix (our best guess — maybe with a little heeler/pittie sprinkled in) weighs about 40 lbs and is the perfect medium-sized adventure buddy. He’s goofy, affectionate, playful, smart, and extremely trainable. He loves toys, snacks, exploring new places, and showing off for the camera.

Noodle is currently being fostered and trained by an experienced professional trainer with North Star K9 Training, so he already has a great foundation and keeps learning every day. Even better? His adopter will receive FREE training support to help set everyone up for success. 🐾

Hot weather didn’t stop this crew from showing up for their dogs today at Lakeshore Park! ☀️🐾

Cheryl, Noodle’s foster mom and trainer with North Star K9 Training, led past and present clients through a beautiful pack walk focused on structure, socialization, and real world training around distractions. We are so grateful for clients who continue to put in the work and stay consistent with their dogs even when it’s sweaty, messy, and HOT. Consistency is what creates lasting change, and these dogs are proof of that! 👏

Special shoutout to Noodle for crushing his VERY FIRST pack walk! 🎉 This goofy, affectionate, adventure-loving guy settled in beautifully with the group and showed off just how trainable and social he can be. Noodle is around 3.5 years old, about 40 lbs, playful, smart, food motivated, and looking for his forever home. He’s currently being fostered and trained by an experienced trainer through North Star K9 Training, and his adopter will receive free training support to help set everyone up for success!

Meet Noodle 🍜 — your future adventure buddy and professional post-adventure nap champion.

Today Noodle got to go on a big field trip with his foster mom, a trainer with North Star K9 Training, to Springbrook Park where he romped through the creek, sniffed ALL the smells, got delightfully muddy, and practiced training around real-life distractions.

After a bath, this goofy boy completely crashed out and is currently snoozing like an angel. 💤

Noodle is about 3.5 years old, around 40 lbs, and believed to be a beagle mix (possibly with some pit/heeler mixed in based on his traits). He’s playful, affectionate, smart, food and toy motivated, and loves having fun with his people. He’s also very trainable and has done well with the dogs he’s been thoughtfully introduced to!

He’s curious, brave, and makes an excellent adventure sidekick whether you want hiking trails, creek stomping, neighborhood walks, or couch snuggles afterward.

Best of all — Noodle comes with FREE training through North Star K9 Training when adopted!
