Hey everyone!!
Beth is looking for a place to park the trailer this winter and continue to be able to run it and keep appointments going! If you know of a good spot or if you have a spot please let us know! We will have our own power supply but will need to be able to plug in heaters for over night and weekends plus be able to refill our water tank!

Did you know that our owner Beth is getting ready to welcome her third baby in June! This means that we have limited time to see her! While she is gone on leave the pups will still be taken care of but appointments will be limited! Our only employee Karlie will be doing all the grooming by herself for at least two months while Beth recovers!
Karlie is new to grooming and is not an expert on all haircuts. We ask that you are patient with her during this time and we will do everything we can to make sure that the dogs are still looking their best! Appointments may only include bath and tidys until Beth returns in September!
All current clients will be set with a game plan before Beth has this baby! As long as the baby stays in until her induction date!
Thank you all for the love and support you give to us! We love you and almost importantly, we love seeing your dogs!

Here is why it’s important to get your double coated dogs in for a regular grooming appointment!
Desheding done properly can and will reduce sheding up to 99% when done every 6 to 8 weeks.
This client has been taking her husky in every 4 weeks to be groomed and still was getting a ton of hair out of her dog a week after grooming.
The first photo is all the hair that we at grooming by Beth had brushed out of Mr. Loki before starting our deshed treatment bath.
The client reached out a week later and told us that she will be coming back to us again because he barely has any hair coming out of him now!
Double coated dogs will shed year round but twice a year (spring and fall) they will shed even more when the weather changes.
It IS NOT GOOD to shave the double coated dogs as you are not going to make them cooler in the summer. You will actually make them hotter as the outside layer of hair that we see and pet protects the skin from the sun. Everything that sheds out comes from the hair follicles opening up and letting go of that hair nearest to the skin.
Shaving a double coated dog can result in giving the dog Alopecia! This is where the texture of the hair will change and may not grow back at all. In some cases it happens after the shaving or over time.
