✨ Happy Tails for Toast 🐈🐾 Adoption #53 ✨

Toast arrived less than a month ago and somehow managed to steal every heart in the room with his super sweet demeanor and confident way of taking the spotlight effortlessly. It didn’t take long for an amazing family to see exactly what we saw. Today, Toast is heading home to his furrever people, ready for a lifetime of love and adventure. Have fun on the rest of your journey, Toast. You were a joy to share with our community

🏖️Off-Season Hours Update! 🐈⏰
Starting on September 9, 2026, Meowter Banks Cat Café will shift to Off-Season Hours beginning soon.
Monday and Tuesday will be closed. Wednesday through Saturday will be 9am to 3pm. Sunday will be 11am to 3pm. Kitto Time will stay on Saturdays from 10am to 11am.
Walk-ins are welcome when space is available. To secure your visit time, please check our Bookings page on our website. Thank you for all your time and support!

🐾💛 Happy National Dog Day from the Cat Lounge Crew 💛🐾
The cats have gathered and agreed that today deserves a little celebration for our canine friends.

To all the dogs out there, thank you for being joyful, loyal, and wonderfully enthusiastic. You make your humans smile in big ways, and we love seeing that kind of happiness. Some of us have even noticed that you try very hard to be gentle around tiny creatures like us. We appreciate the effort.

We also want to say that it is nice to share the spotlight with you. You bring your own kind of magic to the world, and we support you fully. Today is your day to shine, and we hope you get extra treats, extra cuddles, and a long nap in your favorite spot.

✨ Jack’s Adoption #52 ✨

Jack arrived at Meowter Banks with his four littermates, a quiet little guy who preferred to take everything in at his own pace. It didn’t take long for him to settle into the Cat Lounge Life. He warmed up, made friends, and showed everyone his gentle, laid-back charm. Then he found his people, and that was that. Jack knew exactly who he wanted to go home with, and he made his choice with that sweet confidence we all came to love.
He is off living his best life in his furrever home. Have fun Jack!

✨ Goose’s Big Moment 😻Adoption # 51!🐾✨

Our sweet Goose has officially spread his wings and headed home. For most of his time at Meowter Banks, he preferred the comfort of the high shelf, watching the world from above with those gentle, thoughtful eyes. Goose made up his mind to finally choose his furrever people, and he walked right into the next chapter of his life. We are so excited for Goose and his new family. May your journey together be full of love, gentle moments, and all the joy this sweet boy deserves.

😻🎊 Adoptions Celebration 49 &50! 🎉😺
Our handsome brothers Chai and Java have officially found their purrfect families. Chai, affectionately known as Turbo, captured so many hearts during his time with us. After charming the entire café, he ultimately chose his person with that signature confident sweetness. Java, loyal as ever, stayed right by his brother’s side through the whole journey and soon found the family meant just for him.

We will miss these boys more than words can say. Their gentle energy, their playful zoomies, their brotherly bond, all of it made our days brighter. But our hearts are full knowing they now have wide-open space to run, play, and love to their hearts’ content.

Hugs to their new families and to everyone who cheered them on. Turbo and Java, you’ll always be part of our story. 💛🐾

🐾☕ Coffee with a Cop at Meowter Banks Cat Café😺👮‍♀️👮‍♂️
We are excited to welcome our local law enforcement team from Kitty Hawk Police Department for a morning of connection on September 18 from 8 to 10am. Guests will enjoy fresh coffee and good conversation in our café lounge. Our cats live in their own separate space, so this event takes place in the coffee lounge only.
It is an opportunity way to meet the officers who help keep our community safe and to share ideas that support a stronger neighborhood. Stop in, say hello, sip something warm, and enjoy a calm start to your day.

A year ago, I was determined to attend the ribbon cutting for Meowter Banks Cat Café —and I'm so glad I did!

As an animal lover and lifelong cat owner, this little gem has become one of my favorite places to unwind. There's something so peaceful about saying hello to the friendly staff, visiting the adorable cats waiting for their forever homes, and enjoying a wonderful cup of coffee.

And if you're wondering what I order... a large, iced latte with lavender and cinnamon. Trust me—it's absolutely worth trying! ☕️💜

I recently spent the morning here catching up with a dear friend and former coworker, and it was the perfect setting to slow down, visit, and enjoy this chic and welcoming space.

Meowter Banks Cat Café is a privately owned, veteran-owned, and woman-owned small business—and the first and only cat café on the Outer Banks. Whether you're a cat enthusiast, a coffee lover, or simply looking for a cozy place to relax, I highly recommend stopping by for a furry hello and a delicious beverage.
