Did you know? Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease that can affect your dog’s kidneys, liver, and even be life-threatening—and it’s transmissible to humans too. 😱

Dogs can get leptospirosis from:
• Drinking from puddles or streams
• Contact with infected wildlife (like rats, raccoons, or skunks)
• Contaminated soil or water

The good news? Leptospirosis is preventable with a vaccine!
We recommend annual vaccination—especially for dogs that go outside, hike, or live in rainy or wildlife-heavy areas. Leptospirosis is now part of your core vaccines and is important to get! Please ask about the Leptospirosis vaccine at your next appointment!
