The next Paw's Pet Pantry distribution day is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at 10:30 AM,
at: Our Lady of the Rosary
Pastoral Center,
937 North Main St.
Louisburg, NC 27549
*NOT the church off of 39*

NOTE: Be sure to check the Paw's Pet Pantry page for updates, changes, etc. Rain date is scheduled for the following Tuesday, September 15th, same time and place.

And PLEASE, do NOT arrive early, and no parking on the road, there are parking spaces. Thank you.

If you live in Vance, Franklin, Granville, or Warren counties and could use some supplemental food to help feed your pet/s, this event is for you. No referral or financial assistance needed. Proof of residency, you just fill out an information form/sheets and sign.
First come first served, while supplies last.

💔 You can go to the site and scroll down to learn, or see, more about Phoenix. I decided not to post the hellish photos. 😩

Her story; Phoenix is an estimated one-and-a-half-year-old puppy found buried in trash at a homeless encampment in Holly Springs earlier last month. She was starving when a family discovered her, with severe anemia, bone infections, and wounds across her face. She was used as a bait dog. Her teeth were filed down so that she could not protect herself. And she recently had puppies 😭 The good news, she is safe and recovering from her first surgery nicely (toe amputated). Sadly, Phoenix has a host of painful costly injuries, but she has and continues to get the donations needed. I read on another post in another group that there is a petition to launch an investigation into the apparent dog fighting ring, which I've yet to locate, but am inquiring about.
Rehoming pets for free is NOT safe! And there does need to be legal guidelines for doing so.

WE did it...and now we’re doing it AGAIN! ❤️ Thanks to your incredible generosity, we matched the $1,000 grant from the The John and Christine Tortorella Family Foundation for Phoenix’s medical care.

Now they’ve challenged us to match ANOTHER $1,000! Phoenix came through her amputation and spay surgery yesterday and is recovering like a champ. While we’re celebrating this milestone, we know she still has a long road ahead. We’re closely monitoring a cherry eye that may require corrective surgery, along with her continued medical care as we learn more about the hardships she’s endured.

Can WE do it again? We think so.
