A leisure stroll thru the shopping center landed these 2 in the express lane to the shelter. These male and female American bulldog mixes were found in the 78244 ne side of town, specifically the Woodlake parkway area. No tags or microchips were found. If you know anyone missing their pets please guide them our way

With an Extreme Heat Warning coming to Bexar County, we want to make sure pets stay safe as heat indices are expected to reach up to 115 degrees tomorrow. Keep pets cool, hydrated and call your vet if you think your pet is experiencing a heat stroke. You can help keep Bexar County Animal Facility cool for our shelter animals by donating kiddie pools, frozen pet treats, and cooling pads. Deliveries can be made to 5510 Duffek Rd., Kirby, TX, 78219. For National Dog Rescue Day, we want to not only highlight our amazing shelter friends, but also the people who keep it moving from the Animal Control Officers to the kennel staff at our Animal Care Facility!

There’s a lot of work that goes into taking care of our furry pals to make sure they’re safe from dangerous situations and they’re getting the treatment the need.
It’s a lot of work, whether it’s giving our dogs baths, or taking their pictures!

✨Volunteers, fosters and adopters are always needed! You can also make a donation to help support the Animal Care Facility!

🐾 Happy Pupdate! 🐾

On January 1st, the Bowman family came across Bonnie’s heartbreaking cruelty story and knew they had to step in to help. Even though they live all the way in Indiana, that didn’t stop them. They stayed in touch with the shelter and followed Bonnie’s journey every step of the way.

The moment Bonnie officially became part of the shelter, the Bowmans didn’t hesitate—they set out on an 18-hour trip to come rescue her. ❤️

We’re beyond thrilled to share that Bonnie will now spend the rest of her life in a safe, loving home. 🏡🐶

A huge thank you to the Bowmans for their compassion and commitment to giving Bonnie the life she deserves!

Microchipping is the best way to find your pet if they get lost, or stolen.
