What’s that flower?” 🌸
Campanula—also known as Canterbury Bells—is the flower I get asked about most when it shows up in a bouquet. With its delicate bell-shaped blooms and excellent vase life, it’s easy to see why it catches so much attention.
Sadly, campanula season is almost over for the year, but I should have a few more weeks of blooms with shorter stems before we say goodbye until next spring.

A little dahlia confession... 🌸

These plants are growing great, but I forgot one important step: pinching the main stem when they were young.

Pinching encourages branching, which means more blooms and longer stems for cutting. I’ll still get beautiful flowers, but the stems likely won’t be as tall as they could have been.

Flower farming is always a learning process, and sometimes the best lessons come from the things we forget. Thankfully, the dahlias are thriving anyway, and I can’t wait to see them bloom! 🌿✨

Moments in May 🌸✨

This month was full of planting, harvesting, and enjoying some of the season’s first blooms. A few of my favorites were snapdragons, campanula, and those first cheerful sunflowers of the year. 🌿💐

May also brought some special milestones—creating flowers for my oldest daughter Julianna’s bridal shower, designing my first bridal bouquet of the season, and celebrating Mother’s Day with the sweetest handmade gift from my youngest daughter. She designed and made me coffee mugs in ceramics class that I’ll treasure forever. ❤️

Grateful for a month filled with flowers, family, and so many meaningful moments.

Prom 2026 ✨
