As an owner/trainer I can be incredibly hard on myself and Nick, especially if I’m having an off day. Sometimes I’ll take all the chances credit, sometimes I’ll share an inspirational trainer. Today a doctor asked me if Nick had any “formal training”. I replied “He did, with Sara Lopez at PetSmart.” Sara spent a lot of time helping us with Nick’s prey drive, obedience, and Rally. It’s safe to say he wouldn’t be the dog he is without Sara. She’s also the trainer that introduced me to reward based training.
