We had a special guest on the ranch today! Our favorite chiropractor, Dr. JP, and I talk horses every time I’m on the table and I keep inviting him to come ride. Well today he took me up on it and took Atlas for a spin! Both had a great time, and we’re glad for the visit. Hope to see ya again soon JP!

The latest chicks we turned out of the growing room have taken quite the liking to Daisy! She doesn’t seem to mind, and even shares some of her dinner with them. When I shoo the chickens away Daisy grunts at me as if to say, “Leave them alone, they’re fine!”

Thanks so much to everyone that came out to support the Horsin' Around 4-H Club at the ranch today! We had a great time watching the kiddos run some awesome courses. Zoe and Emma did a fantastic job keeping the kids engaged and on track. We got to meet lots of fellow horse people from the area, and it sounds like the tack swap was a big hit as well (though I may have heard some rumors that a few people left with more tack than they came with 🤣).

It was such a blessing to see the barn come alive and share this little slice of paradise with new friends. We look forward to hosting more events in the future. Hope to see y’all soon!

Great early turnout today! Awesome to see so much activity on the ranch! Tack swap runs until 2pm and there is tons of stuff to browse!

It’s not too late to come compete in the hobby horse show! Come on out! The competition looks fierce already, but don’t let that deter you! 🤣🤠

Getting ready for a new horse to arrive at the end of the month! This is one of the last stalls that needed rehabbing, so glad to be reaching the end of that road! Packed in a good six inches of granite dust and compacted it all. Power washed the existing rubber mats, which are in good condition once cleaned and allowed to sit in the sun for a little bit. Now I just have to put the mats back in and then I can put in the new stall dividers!

Sweet Pea had some foul looks to give me for disturbing her nap time. She wanted to file a noise complaint but we settled out of court for two peppermints and some ear scritches.

The spiders were BUSY last night! They did a number on the fences and I found several of these giant webs strung from the trees to the grass. Glad I saw them before I ran the mower or a tractor through one! Kinda pretty with the morning dew and fog, though.

Come out this Saturday and watch the silliness that is Hobby Horse Competition! Proceeds support King George’s Horsin' Around 4-H Club so it’s a win-win!

For the second year in a row, the U.S. Hobby Horse Championships drew record crowds and participation in the rapidly growing sport comprised of tweens, teens and some adults.

This gentle giant loves to work, is suitable for a beginner, and needs all the attention he can get! Not fancy, but he goes forward, backward, and turns like he should. No complicated buttons to worry about.

If you’ve been thinking about getting into riding, this may be an opportunity for you. We have a dressage instructor in the barn as well as Western Pleasure/Ranch Riding experience. Willing to consider a half-lease as well. Lessee will get use of indoor arena and trails, will pay board and vet bills. Please message me for more details.
