We want to address the situation that has been shared regarding a recent grooming appointment.
First, we want to be clear: no animal in our care is ever intentionally harmed. We understand how upsetting it is to hear that a pet was distressed, and we take those concerns seriously.
During this appointment the pet became extremely reactive and our staff member was scratched and injured while attempting to safely complete the groom. In that moment, the groomer did raise their voice out of stress and pain. While the situation was difficult, we do not consider that an appropriate way to handle it, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard. The pet has only previously been sedated and groomed by a vet.
The groomer involved is no longer with our salon.
Moving forward, the business will be owner-operated only so we can ensure every pet is handled with patience, control, and professionalism especially in high-stress situations.
We are reviewing our safety and handling procedures to better manage reactive pets and to ensure clear communication with pet owners if a groom cannot be completed safely.
We understand the concerns being shared and are committed to showing this is not something acceptable within our salon.
