From Foster mom Sandy- Gadget is 10 weeks old. Beautiful color grey with stripes. He has such a wonderful personality loves to play with his toys , and loves cat towers. He is so fun to watch when he gets his zoomies. He is such a cuddle bug and loves to sleep with you at night and will cuddle and watch TV.

Come meet this beautiful boy and I bet you fall and love and want to adopt him. Call the Shelter to schedule a meet and greet! ❤️🐾❤️

We have a new arrival at the Kewanee Animal Control Facility, found in the 500 block of Franklin St. If you recognize this cat or have any information please contact the Nonemergency number for the Kewanee Police Department or the Henry County Humane Society-Kewanee.

We were so happy to see the change in S’more today! He arrived at the Kewanee Animal Control Facility and we could tell something was off. He was so passive and listless in his kennel. But after lots of TLC, a thorough worming and flea treatment, a distemper vaccination, and good healthy food including yummy white meat chicken….he was up and batting the balls around in his new toy. ❤️🐾❤️

Fancy (like the Reba song 🙂) is a 1.5 year old pit bull believed to be mixed with another smaller terrier breed. She will be 2 January 8th, 2026. She is full grown at roughly 35-40lbs.
She has grown up in a home with kids and loves them so. There is also another dog and 2 cats in the home.
Unfortunately she is food aggressive towards my older dog, and with an always snacking toddler in the house it is too much keeping the dogs separated and staying on top of any crumbs dropped.
My cats growl at her which then triggers her to bark at them but otherwise she will ignore them.
Overall fancy is a great dog, wants to be attached at the hip with her person. She does get excited and jumpy when we get home but knows “Down” or “easy” and is very responsive to training collars with a beep. She recognizes the command “house” when it’s time to go inside and she overall does well with the boundaries of the yard but will run after smaller animals.

She has never been aggressive towards any human. I can stick my hand in her bowl while she is eating and she doesn’t bat an eye. Aggression has only been shown towards my older dog when food came in to play.

She was due for her vaccines in March and those have not been taken care of. She is also not spayed. 309) 435-1090

Guiness and Shamrock arrived at the Kewanee Animal Control Facility in March as strays. Fastfoward to August and both have been placed in loving homes. These lucky kitties will be living the good life. ❤️🐾❤️

While getting his neuter done this week Huckleberry was voted by the staff and Vet their favorite kitty and the most likely to find a forever home quickly. Huckleberry never stopped making “air biscuits” from the time he arrived till the time he left. ❤️🐾❤️

You will never forget the love and companionship of an animal that you’ve loved and cared for over the years in your home. But kitten Dexter hopes he can find a special place in his new momma’s heart. When she arrived at the Shelter she said she was looking for a kitten, especially a black one, and little Dexter fit the bill perfectly. ❤️🐾❤️

Kitten Daisy is a tiny little gal who is just bursting with energy. She loves people and attention and she is so happy to be headed to her new home. ❤️🐾❤️

What a special lady! She drove quite a distance to visit our Shelter and donated a variety of items and even included drinks for the staff and volunteers. Especially excited about the three fans, assorted office supplies, dish soap and detergent, and an assortment of other supplies. She also donated a case of canned chicken that we will use for our sick or injured cats and kittens. ❤️🐾❤️
