Qualifications
•Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments

•Reliable, punctual, and responsible
•Good communication skills

Responsibilities
•Letting dogs out to potty and play
•Keeping water bowls clean and filled
•Feeding according to individual instructions
•Keeping kennels clean and tidy
•Occasionally giving medication
•Laundry
•Dishes
•Outdoor waste clean up and disposal
•Checking guests in and out
•Bathing dogs as needed
•General cleaning of the entire facility
•Observe and report any health, behavioral or facility concerns

I had the pleasure of grooming Sparkie today! Her foster mom brought her in for a bath and de-shed. Even though this was possibly her first grooming experience, and she was a little nervous, she did very well!

Sparkie is available for adoption through the Kewanee Humane Society. She is 6 years old and had been with her family since she was a puppy. Sadly, her owners both passed away within two week from each other leaving Sparkie with nowhere to go. Sparkie has been with her foster for two weeks now and she says she’s an amazing dog!

To keep my existing grooming clients on their preferred schedules, I've made the decision to take a break from accepting new clients at this time. We can still take on new bath dogs or dogs that require minimal trimming; just keep in mind we're booked out several weeks.

I'll reevaluate in a couple of weeks once my schedule isn't so tight.

I'd be more than happy to answer any questions, add you to a waitlist, or give recommendations to other amazing local groomers during this time.

Texting is preferred for a quicker response as I can’t answer calls when I have a dog on the table.

One of my favorite perks of owning a small business is having the option to close up shop on a random weekday.

Although today isn’t just any average Wednesday, I’ll be staying home to celebrate a special little lady’s 2nd birthday. 🥰

Please note that we are making some slight changes to our drop-off and pick-up policy for boarding. We will be sticking to the times listed below starting in June!

I will also be switching away from set business hours for grooming. This has already been happening the past few months - and it’s working out well for my families busy schedules.

My kids will always come first and I’m fortunate to have that flexibility with your continued understanding and support. 🖤

Grooming: by appointment only Monday - Wednesday + Friday: 8:00am until the last dog is checked out

Nail trims: available same day as my schedule allows - please call or text before you head over
