Barotrauma sucks. It's painful, preventable, and when it happens to a patient in your care, it can be heartbreaking. That's why simple safety devices like this one matter so much.

Essential Medical Device (EMD) was created by Alan Cross, DVM, Diplomate ACVS, after a patient tragically died when a pop-off valve was accidentally left in the closed position. After searching and finding no acceptable way to prevent this mistake from ever happening again, he designed and manufactured the precursor to the EMD Safety Valve.

Fix-it Lady is thrilled to offer this simple, life-saving device that helps protect veterinary patients when every breath matters.

Netflix The Boroughs is outstanding. I loved Stranger Things and this series does not disappoint. Watching tonights episode I saw this anesthesia machine ... it is a Dispomed Anesthesia Machine. My husband is rolling his eyes! Seriously, I am such a dork.

Anesthesia Service Technician

Hannah Walsh has been a valued member of the Fix-it Lady team since July 2025. After successfully completing her training, she began independently servicing both new and existing veterinary facilities in January 2026.

Hannah currently serves clients throughout Charlotte, Matthews, Gastonia, Hickory, and the surrounding areas. Her dedication to quality service, professionalism, and customer care has quickly earned the trust of our clients.

As we remember and honor all those who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom and way of life this Memorial Day, I can think of no better way to say “thank you” than by helping veterans who are struggling and in need of support — including their loving and loyal furry companions. 🇺🇸🐾

Isn't She Beautiful! Thank you CARE for trusting me your anesthesia equipment service and for allowing me to be part of this process. It was time for the old gurney to take a well deserved rest.
