FOSTERS NEEDED!

Summer is a busy time, and right now we’re finding ourselves short on fosters for rabbits and guinea pigs (which means we can’t say “yes” to the ones who need us most).

We’ve been tagged in several stray rabbit posts lately, but we simply don't have enough fosters to help. 😞

Fostering is temporary, incredibly rewarding, and life-changing for many animals! We cover all supplies, vet care, and even find a sitter if you go on vacation—you just provide the love and space.

My family and I took in this beautiful elderly girl last week. She was abandoned. She ended up needing emergency surgery for crystals. Some the size of small cherries. We want to get her healthy again, and then we will search for perfect forever home that will appreciate the gift they have in Athena.

The earlier update was untrue. She was dumped but thanks to her chip the woman was contacted and she then reached out to me. I know have Athena. I took her to the vet believing she had a bad UTI. She ended up needing an emergency cystotomy. She is now recovering. We want to get her fully on the road to recovery before she will be available for adoption. I am now her foster mom/guardian.

I was told that Athena found a new home. Thank you for your shares

LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME:

Athena is a 8 almost 9 year old spayed female Husky/Lab mix. She is UTD on her shots but will need them soon. She is allergic to grain. She does beautifully around young children (she lives with a toddler) and other dogs but unfortunately does not do well with cats.
She is low to mid energy but enjoys a couple of good daily walks. I was told she doesn't have any health issues other than allergies to grain. Her human parents are splitting up, and she desperately needs a new home asap. Her mother can't take her but has agreedto rehome her, so her dad has her currently but doesn't want her, unfortunately, and wants her gone right away. I would let her stay with me until we found her a wonderful forever home but we have cats.
In order to be considered to adopt Athena I will require a home check. She is a wonderful little girl who deserves nothing but all the love in the world.
