Relatable for sure!

Severe flooding has affected the provinces of Sing Buri and Ayutthaya, just a few hours north of Bangkok, putting the lives of thousands of dogs and cats at risk.

Shark incoming! #jaws #kittyshark

We desperately need donations to stay open. Our bank balance is dwindling and with the slower season approaching, we fear for our future here.

We pay rent. We pay utilities. We pay vet bills. We pay two people to keep the Cafe open, keep the cats healthy, and stay on top of the business basics. Sometimes, one of us doesn't take a paycheck because we don't have the money even though we've put 30+ hours in for the week.

$15 to visit may seem like a lot to some people, but without keeping our prices at this point, we cannot stay open. We currently don't have the funds to put on a large fundraiser and we lack the fundraising expertise to bring in large donors. We are expanding our visits to one full hour from 45 minutes, hoping to entice more visitors by allowing them more time with the cats. We are going to start allowing walk-ins again, so come by whenever to see if we have room for you!

PET PRODUCT ALERT! New products added to the list of concern!

A chemical, Titanium Dioxide, used in top-selling pet foods, treats, and supplements should no longer be considered safe for consumption due to concerns over its ability to damage DNA, according to a new animal-model study.

A scientific panel created by the European Food Safety Authority determined, “Taking into account all available scientific studies and data, the Panel concluded that titanium dioxide can no longer be considered safe as a food additive. A critical element in reaching this conclusion is that we could not exclude genotoxicity concerns after consumption of titanium dioxide particles. After oral ingestion, the absorption of titanium dioxide particles is low, however they can accumulate in the body”. The panel concluded that titanium dioxide has the potential to damage DNA and cause chromosomal damage. The Environmental Working Group called on the US Food and Drug Administration to quickly consider whether to ban titanium dioxide from use in food.

A chemical that may damage our pet's DNA should not be fed to pets. Brands that use this chemical don’t put it in all SKU’s, so check your labels to make sure it’s not in anything you feed your pets.

Titanium dioxide is #9 on The Forever Dog’s Dirty Dozen list of additives you need to avoid in your pet food.

I feel like we are drowning a little bit!

$2,000 in Hay and another $6,100 is coming next week.
That’s $8,100.

8 piglets who all need spayed and neutered with costs starting at $300 each.
That’s AT LEAST $2,400.

A pig from California who was set to be euthanized is making her way to our home.

Two other families asked us to take a combined 5 more pigs.

With these costs, I really don’t know how much longer we can do this.

We can say no.

We HAVE said no.

Over and over and over again.

But pigs keep coming and calls and texts keep rolling in because we are their last resort.

All Sanctuaries and Rescues are full but breeders keep breeding and pigs keep being born.
People keep getting lied to about the size of their pigs, and these pigs are kept for a couple months and when they get bigger than they were told, or more rowdy than expected, they are surrendered or abandoned.

Pigs keep falling off trucks because the demand for pork hasn’t stopped.

And we are there to catch them and lighten the load even if it means making ours ten thousand times heavier.

It’s gotta stop.
It stops eventually, right?

We need help.
Like a LOT of help.

I’m not one to admit that we are drowning, but we are.

Yes, this is rescue.

But I’m tired.

Steph is tired.

But we will keep fighting and keep rescuing because we are needed.

We are so god damn needed it’s sickening.

Every rescue is.

We love it.
Don’t get me wrong.

So so much!
And we wouldn’t change it for the world.
And we will never ever stop saving those that need us the most.

But if you are able to donate to help us out, we could really use it.

We are exhausting our own money and it’s getting scary.

Even if all our friends just donated $1 that would add up.

We love and appreciate you all.

Remember, every donation is tax deductible.
