Orphaned kittens are special.

They are the most fragile of homeless animals, yet delightfully responsive to the loving care given to them. They bring with them hours of hard work, but also the reward of joy when they're finally adopted into a loving home.

Do you have experience bottle-feeding neonatal kittens? Would you like to learn? Shelters and rescue groups across the nation severely lack willing foster volunteers to care for these vulnerable kittens. If you have the time and compassion to help even one litter of neonates, you could make a significant impact in their lives and for our organization!

Friends of Felines provides all of the supplies, formula/food, medical care and guidance and you provide the safe, loving environment to help them thrive! Please consider applying to foster with FOF. https://sfof.org/get-involved/

We have two of the sweetest kitties available for adoption at Friends of Felines!

Theodora is quite timid and will need some patience and understanding but we just know she has the most incredible personality hiding beneath her shyness. She loves to be pet and her little purr will confirm that!

Tiger Lily is both affectionate and playful but does need to be the only feline in her new home. She's not a fan of other cats and she has told us all about it!

Another PAWesome TNR resource for feral and community cats. Our good friends at Silverton Cat Rescue spend countless hours helping feral and community cats and their caregivers get the vital services they need. Use the form to connect with SCR about TNR before those 3 backyard cats become 60.

Did you know we work with people to get community and feral cats fixed? Cats that aren't spayed or neutered live a horrible life. They're ruled by their hormones and often get injured in fights.

You just need to fill out this form and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/SIL/8868-spay-neuter-assistance

We also have a form on our website -- www.silvertonrescue.com -- for surrendering cats and information about fostering.

Right now we don't have any available Fosters so we're unable to take cats that need rescued.

Kittens pictured below are not available for adoption. We're starting to get requests to take kittens but again if we don't have Fosters we can't take them.

We often get asked, “what do I do if there’s 10 or more cats and kittens to get fixed in my yard?”
The easiest answer…. The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon (FCCO) is the most cost effective and fastest way to get your feral cat colonies and stray community cats fixed all at once. Make TNR appointments with them today, get loaner traps, and get those cats snipped. The FCCO clinic is in Portland, it’s donation based for anyone, and they’re used to scheduling 5-10 (or more) cats for one appointment.

Seeing more kittens in your neighborhood? This is how it starts.

Cats can multiply quickly - what starts as one stray can quickly become many. Kittens can get pregnant as young as 5 months old, and cats can have multiple litters, EVERY year.

If you’re feeding a feral or outdoor stray cat (or a whole colony!), there’s help. FCCO can spay/neuter all the cats at once, and provides vaccinations, too. Services are offered for a donation.

Getting cats fixed is the most effective way to prevent more kittens and help keep your neighborhood healthy and manageable - for both people and cats.

SAVE THE DATE! Saturday, October 3rd, 2026!
Get ready to bust out the neon, tease that hair high, and party like it’s 1985!

This year the Friends of Felines' Paws & Purrsonality auction is taking it back to the 1980's with the freshest party of the year. It'd be bogus if you missed out on rockin' auction items, bodacious food and a totally tubular time with your friends.

Stay tuned, more details coming soon… and trust us, this year is going to be paws-itively unforgettable.
