Unfortunately, Larry and Grant didnโt have the cow they needed to make a big run, bringing their time at the futurity to a close.
Even though we didnโt get the results we were hoping for, we got the opportunity to ride alongside the best in the country and learn a ton so we can be better prepared next year.
The horse world is incredibly cut-throat, and even more so when thereโs a lot of money on the line. However, at arguably the biggest and most competitive cow horse event, we were welcomed with open arms into an atmosphere weโve never before been a part of.
Top-level riders gave us words of wisdom, coached us from the sidelines, showed us how to be better horsemen and better trainers. It was an experience of a lifetime, and one we donโt take for granted.
To all those who helped and encouraged us throughout the year, thank you. We are better people because of it.
Congratulations to those who had big rides and huge success, and congratulations to those who didnโt. It still takes a hell of a lot of courage just to show up and try ๐ช๐ผ
