JPD K9 teams are trained and certified by North American Police Work Dog Assosciation (NAPWDA). These teams are dual purposed specifically in narcotics and apprehension.
The K9 unit is solely funded by public donations and fundraising events.

A Big thank you to all of the people and their pups that came out to our open house today and spent some time with us and our trainers. We had some fun and I hope we were able to help everyone out. Thank you all for coming and thank you for your business. Hope to see you all again soon!

Join us this Saturday July 19th from 9 to Noon for some fun and free dog training consultation from professional dog trainers. We will be introducing Pete Genovese from Optimum K9 Training, Pete has been activly training family pets and police k9 teams for over 20 years. Training demonstrations will be provided free. refreshments, and Dog treats also provided. we will be giving away a free dog grooming to some lucky person in attendance. Please arrive early and bring your pups and a chair.
