Let's talk about Ticks. Can you or your dog pick up these soul sucking mini monsters in the winter? Absolutely yes. The black legged tick, most common in NE America and the one that carries Lymes disease,, will become active in temperatures of 35 to 45deg F and snow is off the ground. So continue to periodically check your pets for ticks when we get some nice days. Even with the tick collars or monthly pills, it's still possible for a latch on. Much like the bells, whistles remain excellent tools in dog training. Dogs and most pets, in general, live for and want to please you and love it when they do. The tough part is letting them know what you desire from them sometimes. Dogs hear well and can differentiate between different pitches and can understand once trained what your asking them for. Whistles can be heard clearly even at long ranges. I use them for two commands, return and halt. If my dogs get to far away or are going in an unsafe direction, such as a road, the whistle is an easily heard form of command even at a distance. 10% off til Christmas.
