Left straight from work to get these kittens and some meds. They were found in Johnstown and someone took them on for the night but didn’t feel equipped to vet them and while trying to find placement for them - ran into someone else with a kitten dragging its leg and took that one as well keeping the separated and safe until rescue was found. The tabbies are SPICERS right now. The one definitely tried to take a chunk outta my thumb this evening and they didn’t even get vaccines! That was just the drama from being held 🙄

They are sick baby kitties and I’m treating them with the assumptions it’s calicivirus because the one has a upper lip cut/maybe start of an ulcer so their cage is completely covered and everyone in that room is well vaccinated. My mom came up and took the dilute torti who was walking just fine by the time we got her. Sickie tabbies will be staying with us.

Every rescue and animal organization has illnesses. Sometimes it’s the right thing to do to close intakes until information is available or a plan is in place. But running into illnesses is inevitable and if we stop showing up because we *won’t* find a quarantine solution cats will just suffer. Rescues do a lot for this area out of our own house and unpaid time because there are no other resources. Does this make mine and Ryan’s life substantially harder? Sure does. Is it the right thing to do by these guys? Sure is.

They’re on tobramycin and amoxi-clav and we hope that will be enough. The one we couldn’t even get her eye open to see past swelling if there’s anything in there.

Please remember when donating that your money is immensely appreciated here and 0% goes to salaries and overhead expenses. Every renovation we have done to our house to maintain cleanliness, gas money, repairs on appliances for heavy animal care use has been 100% out of our own pocket. Not including the household supplies like trash bags, paper towels, bleach and detergent etc. Not a penny goes to anything but animals supplies and vetting. Check out local rescues when donating and supporting local animal welfare efforts. We are all burning out. 🧡

Ally came in with Amos and Andi. She has gotten far less interest because she is shy and all black! She can be a sweet girl that purrs and makes biscuits. We are working on rebuilding trust. After she got the seasonal sniffle she got scared of us coming over because we were always putting yucky medicine in her mouth. We tried churu but she wouldn’t eat it! 😕

She would do well in a space with lots of love and attention. She can be so sweet, she just needs someone to show her she’s safe. I was snuggling her tonight and she was rubbing all over me and making biscuits and got up and played with a stuffed mouse! She just needs someone to care. 🧡

Sidney is still hanging out with her foster mom and friends at Cinnamon's Closet. She has actually made friends with the other senior in the house and enjoys porch time!

Her adoption fee has been waived and her insulin will be covered for her lifetime. Adopt our 8 year old sour patch girl!

Bunny is seriously the perfect dog! She is very people focused but can entertain herself as well. Shes been great with all dogs and cats she has met. She has too much of an interest in my ferret for me to feel comfortable with her out and around her.

She is housebroken, crate trained, up to date on all core and additional vaccines and ready to go. She would do best in a home with kids over the age of 8.

She has tons of energy and doesn’t behave at all like a 6 year old with cancer. Shes down to do whatever - go for a walk, bird watch, or nap! As long as she’s with her person. 💕

Welcome Zorro!

Found as a singleton in the west end, someone loved and carried for him until placement was found. He’s a chunky boy with a big ole belly on him! He got some pyrantel because he’s 1.42 lbs and flea meds because he had some flea dirt on him and is snoozing in his cage with his wet food and toys now. I’ll vaccinate him before going to bed tonight!

My soft spot for tuxedos always gets me in trouble! He’s currently in a cage I was hoping to use for one of two people trying to trap for me this week but we will cross that bridge when we get to it! 😅

He’s about 7 weeks old so he still has lots of growing to do! 💕

Huge thanks to Debra Noble for always fetching and delivering kittens and cats to me lol. As a side note, her concrete stairs fell smack off her house last week crushing her traps and cat carriers. She purchases those things with her own money and uses them all for other people’s animals. I have added some traps and carriers to my wishlist that I will ensure go to her. The number of times I’ve called her from work asking if she can go get me a cat or set a trap is ridiculous lol. She always shows up for us and we’d like to show up for her. 💕

This sweet girl is busting out of quarantine soon and coming for her snuggles! She has been the sweetest foster with Cinnamon's Closet. Purring, making biscuits and seeking any attention.

She is estimated 2-3 years old, fixed and will be snap tested and vaccinated on the 4th! She is an absolute doll baby 🧡

Bean’s foster said - Bean had heard the dumb boy accusations and wants everyone to know he’s learning how to solve a Rubik’s cube!

These two boys are really coming out of their shell! They are absolute love bugs and we can’t believe how many applicants we’ve had for Bean but not willing to take Sal. We almost always encourage friends for cats - not because we want more to be adopted - but because they are social creatures and many of our kitties have come from colonies or groups of cats that were teaching them manners, keeping them entertained, and loved!

Their adoption fee is discounted - not because we spend less on vetting them but because we really want them to go together. 🧡

Both young adults, neutered, up to date on vaccines and ready to go.

Paisley is finally looking good! Her rag-a-muffin days are hopefully over. She has been doing well on sensitive skin and stomach food and because we are coming off some illnesses and trialing food with her she’s staying in her cage.

She doesn’t seem to mind and yells at the other cats when they come too close to her food bowls but does well with them otherwise.

We would love to see this girl in a home ASAP! She is 7 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines and ready to go. We will send her with the rest of her food she is currently eating. 🥣

Big hugs to “a cat lover” for their generous donation! We are so thankful for your support 🧡🧡🧡
