O’Neill is enjoying his time out of the quarantine cage FINALLY. He is stuck in the 2010s with his love of parkour. 🕺 He constantly has the zoomies and is literally bouncing off the walls

Estimated 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated and negative for FIV/FeLV. Has a weepy right eye chronically but does just fine with having it wiped occasionally.

Our first “nut” went home last week after finishing vetting! He is joining Flood City Kitties alum, Logan, Sashimi, Bernadette, and Lincoln. They recently lost sweet Amelia who was adopted from us earlier this year from a hoarding situation and while no kitty can ever replace another, Hazelnut (now Salem) will make his own space in their hearts next to Amelia’s spot 🧡

The saddest little intake trying to be so brave in this strange, new place.

She came to us suddenly tonight because after being taken in, giving birth to kittens, and all her kittens being given away or kept - she was going to be thrown outside tonight, pregnant once more.

She’s obviously trying to be brave - she licked a little bit of the churu off the plate and looked around. She loafed. But she licked her lips and swallowed all the while indicating signs of anxiety. When we reach to pet she doesn’t bow into it and if we moved the plate at all she tried to make herself small in the corner, her ears up but her eyes big.

She will be okay. She will learn this is safe again. Her kitten, who was kept, we hope is too.

Welcome, Willow. Our sweet girl. If you’d like to sponsor her spay this Friday, it is $85.

EDIT: HUGE thanks to Sandy Bischof for sponsoring her spay 🧡

Maya brings me so much happiness! Our “senior” girl is 7-9 years old. She’s missing some teeth hence the gummy looking mouth..🦷

She is timid at first but once she loves you, she LOVES you. She rubs all over you getting pets, in your face for kisses and putting herself right wherever your hand is for some head scratches.

November is “Adopt A Senior Pet” month. For this month her adoption fee is discounted to $60 to help her find her forever home for her golden year. 🧡

The Supremes came over for a special visit yesterday! All the stinkers got weighed, booster vaccines, dewormer, and flea treatment. We sent home a bag full of kitten food, some toys, treats and high calorie supplement packets.

They are with the wonderful foster who has Zoey too so they got to take home some dog treats for her!

We are hoping to fatten them up for next Friday. They need to be 3lbs to get spayed and although they’re eating like crazy, they’re taking their good ole time growing!

We are accepting applications now on these funny little love bugs!

Eclipse is one heck of a scared boy. It’s so hard growing up outside, not learning that anything is safe. While one of our tamer “ferals” this year, he is not having all the socialization we are giving him.

His original finder is willing to take him back and allow him to live out his feral, feeder friendly life he desires. We are getting all the forced snuggles in before he heads out. 🧡

Welcome Zoey, another oddly shaped Flood City Kitty! 😅

This sweet girl is believed to have been discarded outside several months ago. Apparently she had food and water provided to her by another family but was not brought inside. Recently she came to a Johnstown Animal Welfare Society member who will be fostering her under us - Cinnamon's Closet 🧡

I scheduled her spay and first round of testing and vaccines. She has a follow up for boosters in Jan already too! She is a young, energetic girl. Perhaps 1-2 years old. She is working on learning manners already!

We really didn’t plan to continue taking dogs after the first last year but the dog issues in Johnstown are escalating and unfortunately we don’t see any resolution to the issues anytime soon. To people that can’t afford their animals, please reach out. To people that don’t care to keep and care for their animals - shame on you. And to those breeding their dogs contributing to this crisis - double shame on you.

Welcome sweet girl 😍

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month!
Junior is one of our two “seniors”. He came to us over the summer when his mommy who had loved him and cared for him for years, had to move to a nursing home. A kind friend helped him come to us and we have been so lucky to love him. He loves to be up high in a three tier kennel so we have one open that he can come in and out of. But as soon as we come in the room, he is all over us. He has no problem being held and kissed and snuggled. If I could hold him all day I’d “baby wear” him constantly and he’d be happy as a clam!

As a part of adopt a senior pet month we are discounting his adoption to $60. Estimated 7/8 years old, fixed, negative for FIV/FeLV and up to date on vaccines.

O’Neill is gonna get that bu**er who is always following him around and getting in his way 🤨

This silly boy is the best! He is so funny! He reminds us so much of our Max and Willie who left over the summer. In fact sometimes we’ve accidentally called him Willie 🤫

Estimated 1 year old, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on all vaccines! He appears to have feline herpes which is SUPER common and manageable with L-Lysine and keeping his environment clean and stress free. A lot of times we don’t see it go into remission until they are adopted. Even though we don’t hold near the number of cats a shelter does, it’s still enough to cause some stress and activation of this dormant illness. Many cats have it and never even have a flare in their adopted home!
