UPDATE: We have the best news! Our hound baby has found his forever home with our very own Maggie Long and Brian. His new name is Leroy and his favorite activities include: eating, cuddling on the couch with his mom, and while he does enjoy going on hikes, he really prefers being inside 🤣 He is the absolute sweetest baby ❤️ While he will have some ongoing medical issues from his previous condition, Maggie and Brian have done an amazing job getting him well and we’re so proud of the progress he has made! Progress pictures below!
Thank you all again for all of your help and support ❤️
More photos added of Leroy living his best life ❤️🥹❤️

Hey everyone….we recently took on 2 babies in need and could use your help ❤️ Unfortunately, due to potential legal actions that may be taking place, we will not be able to give you all of the details regarding our new friends. However, to say they are the sweetest and most deserving babies is an understatement. Right now we can only publicly share one with you and will continue to post updates on his progress as he heals. If anyone out there knows anyone that might like to foster, adopt, or help us with his care by making a donation (any little bit helps) please contact the office. Thanks for helping us to try and make a difference while our local shelters and rescues are stretched so thin❤️
February is National Pet Dental Health Month! Dogs and cats can get buildup on their teeth just like people. Here are some before and after pictures of dental cleanings done by Dr. Kayla. If you have any concerns about your pets teeth, give us a call!
Have you met Dr. Gil yet? We are quite fond of him! Not only is he a great small animal practioner, but he has a Masters in Public Health along with a Board Certification in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. You can find him at our Johnson City clinic Monday through Wednesday. And when he isn't seeing appointments at All Tails, he is playing in a local bluegrass jam, enjoying the outdoors, or teaching veterinary students at Lincoln Memorial University about swine medicine and veterinary public health. This little piggy approves!
We will be closed on Monday, February 26th. We apologize for any inconvenience!
Tilted Tavern Animal Sanctuary 2024 calendars are available at our Jonesborough and Johnson City clinics. They are selling for $13.00 online. But Tilted Tavern is accepting donations from $10 and up for calendars purchased at our clinics. Get one today and support the Tilted Tavern residents!
Does your dog or cat have smelly breath? Do they paw at their mouth or seem to struggle with eating their hard food?

Be on the lookout for more information and tips throughout this month!
UPDATE: We’re VERY excited to announce that he is doing fantastic and has made a full recovery❤️🎉❤️ Thank you to everyone that helped us save him. We couldn’t have done it without your support ❤️ Next step is finding him a home 🎉 If you’re interested in him please let us know before he is transferred to Washington County Animal Shelter. He is about 3-4 months old, has been dewormed, on Simparica Trio, Parvo negative, and has endless kisses to give ❤️
UPDATE: Still not eating on his own but he is feeling much better today ❤️🥹❤️
UPDATE: Thank you all for your love, support, and help with trying to save this sweet baby ❤️ We are absolutely overwhelmed with everyone’s generosity and he is especially loving his new toys to snuggle with.
So far he has made it through the night fairly well but he is not out of the woods yet. He is still not eating or drinking on his own and continues to need his IV. We will continue to hospitalize him throughout the weekend and keep you updated as best we can ❤️
URGENT: Asking for all your thoughts, prayers, and good vibes for this sweet puppy 💔 he is very very sick and we just could not handle euthanizing him so we had him surrendered to us. If anyone would like to contribute to his medical care we are taking donations. If he makes it, the amazing and wonderful Washington County Animal Shelter is going to be helping with his adoption ❤️
If you'd like to contribute please call (423-283-8555) or swing by the clinic in Johnson City (3211 Peoples Street). Thanks ❤️

Rusty (a nine year old with diabetes) is feeling so much better after his treatment! Approximately 1 out of 300 dogs will have diabetes. Certain dogs can be more susceptible based on breed, age, sex, and weight. First signs are an increase in thirst, urination, and appetite while having a noticeable loss of weight. We recommend routine lab work and contacting your vet if you suspect your dog has diabetes. Rusty was a great patient, and we are happy to see him feeling so much better!!!
Patches is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier mix and just one-year-old. He has a luxated patella meaning his kneecap moves out of its normal position. Certain small breeds like Yorkshire Terriers are the most prone to this condition. Before Patches began his cold laser therapy, he was dealing with lameness (difficulty being mobile). He just had his fourth therapy session yesterday. Check him out walking around in our treatment room. We love how he’s improving! If you think your furry family member could benefit from cold laser therapy, contact us at 423-283-8555. Or comment below if you have any questions.
Everyone let’s wish Brian a happy, happy birthday!!! Brian is celebrating with his best buddy Miss Bella who is here for her weekly fluids.
Look who brightened our day with a visit. Brad Marlow of Misfit Hounds and the famous and always marvelous Maybelle! Maybelle needed some staples removed by Dr. Brooke and some TLC from our staff.
Dr. Brooke is testing out CardioPet! This is an in-house electrocardiogram that could identify possible arrhythmias that are otherwise difficult to detect. This would be beneficial for your pet’s health especially if they are undergoing a procedure that requires anesthesia.
