Dolly Parton didn’t need another business. She already had songs, a theme park, and six decades of a career. But in August 2022, she decided to use her name for something different: a line of clothing and accessories for dogs called Doggy Parton, featuring little shirts, dresses, squeaky toys, and even a blonde wig identical to her own.
What makes it special isn’t the catalog, but where the money goes. A portion of every sale is donated to Willa B. Farms, a nonprofit shelter in Old Hickory, Tennessee, that rescues abandoned, abused, or displaced animals and gives them a home. Dolly explained that it all began with 'Puppy Love,' her first single, released 60 years before this idea.
Dolly Parton died on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving behind a six-decade career and a legacy of generosity that also extended to animals. Doggy Parton was one example of that love and of her intention to help them, turning part of the profits from her own brand into support for animals that had been abandoned, abused, or displaced.
