🐾 What is Handstripping?
Handstripping is a traditional grooming method for wire-coated breeds where dead coat is removed by hand, rather than clipping. This preserves the coat’s texture, color, and natural weatherproofing — perfect for terriers, schnauzers, and other wired breeds.

🐾 What is Coat Renovation?
Coat renovation is a restorative process for coats that have been previously clipped or allowed to grow out unevenly. Through a series of grooming sessions, we encourage proper coat growth, restore texture, and bring back the coat’s natural beauty and health.

✨This makes my heart so happy!✨

Maggie came to me with a fear of the dryer and having her legs worked on. Her first few haircuts weren’t perfect (one even ended in a shave-down), but her mom never gave up on her! 💕

With lots of patience, asking questions, getting the right tools for at-home care, and putting in the work, Maggie now gets fluff dried and line brushed at home—keeping her coat healthy, happy, and mat-free. 🐾

The best part? All that effort has helped her confidence grow! Last visit, Maggie did AMAZING for her groom and didn’t even need her medication she has been taking for grooming. 🙌

September is almost filled. October has some openings, then we have Thanksgiving right around the corner.

We’ve had quite a few clients pre-book into the coming months, and as of today I noticed, there are only TWO appointments left the week before Christmas! 😱

These are going to go fast, so don’t wait—get your pup’s spaw day reserved NOW. Do not wait til last minute. We are booking steadily 4-6 weeks out. Once those slots are gone, they’re gone!

We wanted to give everyone a heads up that Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw will be closed from Tuesday, September 3rd through Sunday, September 8th.
• On Wednesday, we’ll be attending a CPR certification class 🩺
• The rest of the week we’ll be away at the Hershey Groom Expo ✂️🐶

During this time, we will not have access to scheduling, so we kindly ask for your patience until we return. 💙

✨ Please also note: We will be closed Friday, September 5th, so there will be no walk-in nail trims that day. If your pup needs a pawdicure, be sure to stop by this Friday, August 29th during our regular walk-in hours, 5-6pm.

🚨 A Note on Our No-Show & Cancellation Policy 🚨

We’ve been experiencing an increase in no-shows recently, so we’d like to take a moment to clarify how our policy works:

✅ A no-show includes:
• Not showing up to your scheduled appointment without calling ahead.
• Arriving 10+ minutes late.
• Canceling same day.

✅ Cancellations/Reschedules require 48 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone on our cancellation list.

💳 Cards on File
We now require cards to be kept on file. If you no-show, your card will be charged for the full cost of the service.
• If your card cannot be processed, or if you are a grandfathered client without one on file, you will be responsible for paying for the missed appointment.
• Prepayment will also be required before booking any future appointments.
• Failure to resolve a no-show balance will result in the termination of services.

🐾 Why This Matters
We work one-on-one with each dog, meaning your pet’s appointment is reserved exclusively for the time needed to complete their groom (often 1–3 hours). If you don’t show up, we are unable to fill that time with another client, which impacts both our small business and those waiting for openings.

📌 You are not required to like, accept, or agree with our policies—and you are always free to seek another salon that operates differently. However, at Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw, we value clients who respect our time and our work. Please remember that once you have signed and submitted our service agreement, it is considered a binding contract. We honor your time by being present, prepared, and ready for your appointment—please extend that same courtesy to us.

C&C Grooming

C&C Grooming started as a small pet sitting service called Courage & Companionship Grooming & Pet Services in mid 2017. In June 2018, they started to offer house call grooming services at a low cost while completing their pet grooming certification through Penn Foster, and working at another local grooming and boarding as an internship. December 2018, C&c Grooming opened their first salon doors inside the Pajama Factory in Williamsport Pennsylvania, servicing local pet’s and working with the Lycoming County SPCA to groom the animals that come into their shelter.

Summer has always carried a love for animals as growing up on a farm, she has been around them all her life. She specializes in large breeds, and works well with those that may be fearful or anxious and works to condition them to understand that grooming is not a scary thing.
