Meet Poppy she tells her own story....
My mom went off to find food and she was coming back. I sat there waiting for her and nuzzled around our home because she was definitely coming back. Then some people came. They took me away and called me “feral”, I’m not feral, they just didn’t understand me. I went into surgery, I didn’t understand it. They let me back out again and I tried to be independent. My paws starting swelling and the people took me back in to “care for me”. They called me feral again while they “cared for me”.

One of the people took some time and got to know me. She said she loved my sad eyes and spent time with me despite the predispositions she had heard. She kept calling me a baby and gave me a name, Poppy. I learned love and understood that people aren’t as bad as I may have thought. I learned to be a kitten, to play, to trust, to love and to be happy…

I have since graduated to my next step though. The people who love me have told me that’s it’s time for me to find a family. I don’t want to leave; I get so much love, but they say it’s time for the next chapter. I love my people and I just want a home that loves me the way that the people who taught me trust love me. I’d love to join a family with other kitties but I would thrive as a solitary kitty. I’m unsure of dogs but could happily adjust with time, patience and training. I’ve come a long way from where I was and want to find an owner who wants to grow with me.
She is a sweetheart and Dr Ries said that we needed to find her a home instead of put her back on the street.
She is healthy and vaccinated.
Give us a call if you are interested in making her a part of your family. There is a rehoming fee.
Ask for Becky to get the details.
