The Joshua Fund is a 501c3 Registered Non Profit Organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs from high-kill shelters throughout the United States.

We are an all volunteer, foster-based rescue. The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue needs your help! Our rescue operations have literally come to a halt. As a national rescue with numerous dogs in private foster homes around the United States, transporting dogs to NY for adoption has become a virtual impossibility. Caring for our existing dogs has drained our reserves and has severely hindered our ability to

rescue other dogs from high-kill shelters. PLEASE, consider making a donation so that we can continue saving lives!

🐾 Introducing Boldr 🐾

Boldr is a handsome 55–60 lb, 2-year-old Pyrenees/Lab mix with a heart as big as his paws. He was recently rescued from a Missouri shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia, and he’s already showing everyone just how special he is.

This sweet boy is calm, gentle, and wonderfully mellow. Boldr gets along well with a variety of dogs, walks nicely on leash, and enjoys riding in the car—making him an easy companion for both everyday life and adventures. While his past is a mystery, it’s clear that he’s grateful for his second chance and eager to soak up love and stability.

Boldr was just pulled from the shelter, so we’re still getting to know him. More details and photos coming soon as he settles into foster care—but don’t be surprised if he steals your heart in the meantime. 💛

🐾 Meet Chauncey – Your Chocolate Lab Lovebug! 🍫❤️

This handsome hunk of chocolate Lab sweetness was recently rescued from a shelter in east Texas, and he’s ready to find a family of his very own. Chauncey weighs 59 pounds, is about 18 months old, and has a stunning coat that turns heads everywhere he goes.

Chauncey is dog friendly, cat friendly, and people loving. He’s affectionate, social, and happiest when he’s close to his humans—he loves to follow his people around and be part of whatever’s going on. He’d likely do well with children, though he can be a little jumpy when excited.

He has a nice balance of energy—playful and enthusiastic when it’s time for fun, but calm and mellow when it’s time to relax. He enjoys balls, loves retrieving, and benefits from having plenty of chew activities to help him regulate. He’s good on leash, looks to his handler for cues, and is very food motivated, making training easy and enjoyable.

Chauncey can spring impressively high when he’s excited, and while he’s made great progress with not jumping on people, it’s still a work in progress. With continued guidance and time to decompress, he’ll only keep improving.

This sweet boy is crate tolerant, prefers sleeping in his foster’s room at night, and is potty trained with regular access to the outdoors. His past is unknown, but his future is bright.

Chauncey is fully vetted, recently neutered, and heartworm negative—all set and ready for his forever home!

🐾 Meet Stanley 🐾

Stanley is a former street dog from an area just outside of Houston known for high numbers of dumped dogs. Despite his rough start, Stanley is incredibly loyal and devoted. Once he chose his person, he never left her side.

Now living indoors, Stanley is mellow, grateful, and absolutely soaking up the good life. He’s estimated to be around 4–5 years old.

Stanley’s foster mom absolutely adores him and says that while all dogs are special, Stanley has an extra-special something you just don’t forget. 🥰

🌟 Meet Chucky – Your Big, Loving Baby! 🐾❤️

Chucky is a 1.5-year-old, 72 lb German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his paws.

This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. He’s great with other dogs and enjoys playing, running, and cuddling. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but with proper introductions and training, he may do just fine.

Chucky’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was found last year alone on a deserted road—skinny, sad, and abandoned. His rescuer couldn’t leave him behind, and since then he’s been loved as part of the family. But as much as he’s adored, Chucky deserves more, he deserves a forever home filled with love. ❤️

Chucky thrives on affection and is happiest when he has space to run, toys to chew, and people to snuggle. His ideal home would be a family with teens and another friendly dog to play with. Most of all, he needs a family who will keep him included, loved, and close.
