🐾Resident Spotlight🐾

✨You may have noticed our resident clinic mascots (masCATs?🤣) Gertie (Tuxedo) and Misty (Tortoise Shell) during your visits
✨Gertie was found as a kitten in the Walmart parking lot under someone's vehicle around a year and a half ago. Most people go to the store for groceries, but that trip and a good Samaritan, led her to a forever home.
✨Misty is our longest resident clinic cat and was brought in as a stray kitten around three years ago. Although she was found at the Jasper Municipal Pool, this girl wouldn't be caught dead exercising. If it doesn't involve napping or bagels, she isn't interested.
✨Gertie is definitely more social than Misty and often gets sent to her bed/box, *lovingly* called the, "Nosy Cat Jail". You can find her sneaking into appointments, stealing treats, or scampering around under everyone's feet. We are pretty sure she does it on purpose, because she loves the attention.
✨Misty is our resident sleepy head. You can almost always find her napping in her bed/box on the desk. Affectionately referred to as resembling an owl with her large eyes and round face, Misty is a bagel aficionado and LOVES bread

🐾Patient Spotlight🐾

✨Meet Ottie! Ottie is an *almost* 13 year old Toy Poodle. His birthday is on 12/8! He absolutely SWEARS he will be on Santa's Nice List this year and wants to let everyone know he was born on National Brownie Day
✨Don't let those sweet Senior eyes fool you, Ottie is full of energy and it was nearly impossible to get any photos of him that weren't blurry. He has places to be and people to see! Speaking of places to be, when Ottie runs, he only uses three legs!
✨Although the Poodle is the national dog of France, there is, however, no such breed as the "French Poodle."
✨In France, Poodles are known as the Caniche, or "duck dog." Despite the Poodle's association with France, the breed originated as a duck hunter in Germany, where the word "pudelin" refers to splashing in water.
✨Ottie's favorite place to be is on his momma and daddy's laps, but Dad says he is his daily napping buddy and will do so until it's time for bed
✨Ottie's an early riser and up before the chickens! He is usually ready to start his day of cuddles by 4:30am

✨Meet Suzie! She is a 20 week old Siberian Kitten
✨The Siberian breed takes a little longer to mature than your average feline, often not reaching being fully grown until age FIVE!
✨This breed, dating back at least 1,000 years, was finally recognized 25 years ago by the Cat Fanciers' Association.
✨Siberian kitties originate from Russia and represent the country as their official national cat!
✨These cuddly and playful gentle giants have a triple layered water-repellent coat (Good luck at bath time!) They are also thought to be related to Norwegian Forest Cats
✨Suzie's mommy says she is an absolute love bug, extremely curious, with tons of energy to spare!

🐾 Meet Miss Fortune!
🐾 Not only is her name PURRFECT for Fall, she gives off *serious* pumpkin spice vibes
🐾 This Calico sweetie is 12 weeks old, weighing in at a whopping 1.8lbs
🐾 She may be tiny, but she is vocal! She had a lot to say during her Wellness Exam, especially when she was gobbling down a Churro Treat
🐾 Fun fact: Because Calico cats are so rare, they’re considered lucky all over the world! In America, calicos are often called money cats, and in Japan, they became the official symbol of good luck in 1870!

🐾 Meet Chucky! That NATURAL mohawk says he’s bad to the bone, but he’s actually afraid of hats. Yes, hats.
🐾 He may be scared of his own shadow (and hats), but delivery drivers, beware. He will use those toofers as a tool for violence.
🐾 His favorite foods are good treats, delivery drivers, and certain…unmentionables. 🫣
🐾 He shares a birthday with National Crab Rangoon Day, February 13th!
🐾Even though he seems naughty, Chucky is one of the sweetest and shyest little fellas you could ever meet.

🐾 She has more wrinkles than she does patience
🐾 Her ears can hear a treat bag rattle from a mile away.
🐾 Don’t let those puppy dog eyes fool you, her dad says she terrorizes her fur brother at home (and he’s 3x her size)
