Yesterday Roscoe went back to the vet and had his 3rd followup for the Pneumonia and Liver/Kidney values.
His X-rays show that his pneumonia has finally cleared up after a 4mo battle on and off. Roscoe has seen several different vets and its my belief the meds he was prescribed prior just werent working and it really never went away each time. His values are almost back to normal. He made amazing progress with his liver and kidney values after being on meds and his Rx Diet food.
This is phenomenal news. Its definitely a break Roscoe needed.
For the long term he will continue on his Denemarin and his Rx Kidney Dietnthat he must have warmed up for each meal 😉

Lastly THANK YOU for those who continue to show support. Your help goes a long ways. We have 5 different Rx Diets, all the daily meds/suppliments and now a litter of puppies, we certainly have pur hands full. Thank You for your continued help and support.

This is Roscoe.
He is the old man here. Mostly doesnt care about much. He has been through alot in the last couple years with his health. He was recently diagnosed with CKD. Dogs with CKD become really picky eaters likely from the horribly bland Prescription diets theyre on. Well, he has hit that level. And then some. After having his dental surgery, I found its easier for him to eat his Rx Kibble ground up and mixed with his canned Rx food. Well, this goofy old man has noticed and picked up on that if the food is microwaved it must taste better, Right!?! Well, thats the only way he will eat his food. He has to see it put in the microwave and warmed up. This is a whole new level of high maintenance 💙 Its alright Roscoe. We love you. Youre worth it!

Early this morning Maple went into labor. By 11am she delivered her adorable healthy 6 puppies!
Adoption fees and a Rescue Adoption Contract will be required. Terms of the contract are non negotiable including a return to rescue agreement, vet references, home visit and fees. They will be available for adoption 10-12wks. So keep your 👀 open for more details later🩷

⚠️UPDATE ON ROSCOE
his bloodwork came back and his kidney levels were 'almost' normal but had elevated liver values so he will be starting Denamarin. He switched from Clavamox to Doxycycline to attack this stubborn pneumonia. He will be on Doxy for 2 weeks then will need another round of xrays and labs.
⚠️UPDATE ON MAPLE
she had her first set of XRays. She is having 6 puppies. I want to let everyone know she was Not Bred. This was not an intentional thing. It literally was a 1 night stand that occurred while watching a dog for another rescue. I have considered EVERY option. I respect that everyone may not feel the same but Providing the pregnancy doesnt jeopardize Maple, we will move forward with the puppies. The Father is a tricolor hound beagle mix. So if anyone is interested.....there will be adoption fees and an adoption agreement. Once this is over she will be spayed. Thankfully.
Maple will be due around 8/16 give or take a few days.

If anyone would be willing to help with donations we could definitely use Denamarin for Medium Dogs. Ill be buying a bag of Royal Canin Puppy Medium but we could use some chewy or petmeds gift cards for meds and Rx food.

Roscoe is asking for your help!
He is still trying to recover from pneumonia going on 3 weeks. We had another round of xrays, labs and medications today. Roscoe has to go back for additional xrays in a couple weeks.
