🎃🐾 Halloween Safety Tips for Your Furry Family! 🐾👻

Halloween is full of treats, tricks, and spooky fun, but let’s make sure our four-legged family members stay safe, too! 🧡🐶🐱

Here are a few reminders from your friends at Grooming Tails! 💚✂️

🎃 Keep candy out of reach! Chocolate, sugar-free candy containing xylitol, and raisins can be dangerous or even toxic to pets.

🐾 Watch the front door! Constant doorbell ringing and trick-or-treaters can stress pets out or give them the perfect opportunity to slip outside. Keep them in a secure, quiet room.

🕯️ Be careful with decorations! Keep lit candles, glow sticks, electrical cords, and small decorations away from curious noses and paws.

🐶 Costumes should be comfortable! If your pet wears a costume, make sure it fits properly, doesn't restrict breathing or movement, and has no small pieces they could chew or swallow.

🦮 Keep pets identified! Make sure collars and ID tags are on, and microchip information is up to date, just in case your little escape artist makes a run for it!

🍬 Skip the people treats! Stick to pet-safe treats made just for your furry friends. And if they sneak something they shouldn't, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison helpline.

👻 Remember, not every pet enjoys the spooky season! Some pets feel safer celebrating from the comfort of their own cozy space, and that's perfectly okay. 💚

From all of us at Grooming Tails, we hope you and your furry family have a safe, happy, and pawsitively spooky Halloween! 🎃🐾
