Absolutely blown away this morning by the incredibly generous donation we woke up to. 💔🐾

A local rescue that we work very closely with reached out asking for the link to donate to our charitable Angel Fund… and donated $1,000.

I am honestly in tears writing this. The kindness and compassion from our community never cease to amaze us.

One of the hardest parts of veterinary medicine is helping families say goodbye to a beloved pet, especially when finances stand in the way of providing a peaceful, dignified euthanasia. No family should have to watch their pet suffer because they cannot afford end-of-life care.

Our Angel Fund was created to help families during moments exactly like these. Every donation goes directly toward helping pets in need receive comfort, compassion, and dignity in their final moments, or helping provide medical care, medications, and treatment at a reduced cost for families facing financial hardship.

We NEVER want to turn away a single pet in need. Donations like this help keep our doors open to families who are struggling and allow us to continue helping pets pass peacefully, surrounded by love, or receive the medical attention they desperately need.

Another day of saving pets and helping keep our furry friends healthy. ❤️🐾
The hardest part of our job will always be the pets we have to say goodbye to.
Today, we were honored to help a new client with the financial burden of emergency care that simply was not possible for them at the moment. Their pet needed help sooner rather than later to prevent continued pain and discomfort, and because of our charitable fund, we were able to step in and help.
We want to continue keeping this option available for pets and families in need.

Our office will be closed Monday, May 25th, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. 🇺🇸

While we honor the brave men and women who gave all for our freedom, there is also a special place in our hearts for the military and service animals who served faithfully beside them. 🐾

We hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend. Please take a moment to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Your Thursday morning heartstring pull!
One of the hardest parts of veterinary medicine is helping families say goodbye to a beloved pet. Sometimes those families are also facing financial hardship, and the stress of the costs including cremation and aftercare costs can make an already heartbreaking moment even more stressful.

We always want our clients to know that we will never let an animal suffer. In some situations, our doctor will help a pet pass peacefully and comfortably even if it means our hospital takes on part of the financial burden ourselves. (That is our doctor 🥹!) Every pet deserves love, dignity, and a gentle goodbye.

We also make memorial paw or nose prints for families at no cost, because we know how important those small keepsakes can be after losing a best friend. 🐾

Unfortunately, cremation and aftercare services are handled through an outside company that we must pay directly, so we cannot always cover those expenses fully on our own. Because of this, we have our charitable fund to help local families who are struggling financially during these difficult moments. At this time, that fund is getting very low and is close to being in the negative due to the number of families we have recently helped.

If you would like to donate toward this cause, no amount is too small. Your kindness could help a family focus on loving their pet in their final moments instead of worrying about finances.

Grain-free diets have become popular, but we want to share an important concern we’re seeing in veterinary medicine. Some of these diets have been linked to Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), a serious heart condition that can develop even in dogs with no prior risk.
Many grain-free foods use ingredients like peas and lentils in place of grains, which may interfere with essential nutrients needed for heart health.

If your dog is on a grain-free diet, we recommend having a conversation with us. A simple diet change can make a big difference.

📢 **Grand Opening Event – Monday the 29th!**

Our staff will be at grooming_tails_llc for their grand opening, offering **low cost vaccines**! 🐾

This event will be a little different this time, we’ll be scheduling pets in sections. If you didn’t get a chance to book, don’t worry! You can still stop by, grab a form, and we’ll honor these discounted prices throughout the month of April (with the form in hand).

Our team will return to the office around 2 PM to begin seeing scheduled appointments and any walk-ins we can accommodate.

Please keep in mind that with the adjusted schedule, we may have limited availability for walk-ins Monday afternoon. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
