Today we also said goodbye to Ellie and Henry after their 30-Day Board & Train, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far these two have come. 🎓

Henry came to us struggling with separation anxiety, especially when it comes to being away from his mom. He also went as far as resource guarding her, and had no problem using his teeth to create space. Over the past month, we’ve worked hard to build clear boundaries, structure, and healthy independence so he can feel more confident and secure on his own. Learning that he can relax and make good choices without constant reassurance has been a huge step forward for him.

Ellie has made incredible progress as well! Throughout her training, she has gained so much confidence and developed a healthy sense of independence. Watching her grow into a more self-assured dog who can confidently navigate new situations has made us proud!

We’re excited to see them continue building on everything they’ve learned at home. Good job guys! 💙🩷

We have a few graduates today, starting with Astro! 🎓

This handsome boy has spent the last 30 days with us and has polished up his obedience both on and off the leash. It was an absolute joy watching his engagement increase throughout the program, and he gained so much confidence since his first day. His owners already have him on a structured routine, end we know he will absolutely flourish as he continues to grow. Good boy Astro! 🐕 ❤️

Today we said farewell to Walt! 🐕

Walt came to us with a strong obedience foundation, but struggled with impulse control and maintaining engagement through higher levels of distraction. Throughout his program, we focused on refining his on-leash obedience, improving clarity and consistency in his behaviors, and beginning the foundation work for a reliable recall.
Over the past 20 days, Walt made excellent progress learning how to better regulate his excitement and make better decisions no matter what distractions he is challenged with. We’re proud of the progress he’s made and look forward to seeing his continued development at home!

Good boy Walt! 💙

Finally, we’re welcoming Miss Ellie, who is joining her brother Henry for a 30 day board & train! This sweet girl is here for some confidence building and refining her obedience. She can be a very forward dog, and that doesn’t always mesh well with another dog in the immediate family. Establishing boundaries and giving her clear direction will help her owners create space when necessary, and make overall management in the household much easier. We look forward to watching her growth!

Next, we’re welcoming Henry! He’s joining his sister Ellie for a 30 day board & train. Henry struggles with some resource guarding habits, and wants to be the center of his mom’s world (the ONLY one at the center of that world sometimes). He’s also picked up some marking behavior when he’s unhappy that he’s not being included in family activities. We’ll be implementing some healthy boundaries & structure so that his family can navigate these challenges appropriately!

Next up we’re welcoming Walt! 🐶

This handsome boy has a great foundation in obedience already! He’s staying with us for 20 days to work on some impulse control and polish up a solid recall so that his owners can enjoy a game of fetch without worry. This guy is a ton of fun and we can’t wait to watch his progress!

We’re welcoming a bunch of new faces today, staring off with Astro! 🐕

This handsome boy is here for the next 30 days for a full foundation in obedience and building a reliable recall. His owners have done great job with him already, and we can’t wait to watch him grow and flourish! ❤️

Today we said farewell to Pines after his (extended) 30 day board & train! 🎓

This handsome guy came back to us for some more advanced training. He came to us for a puppy program last year and had a really solid foundation, he just needed a little polishing up on his obedience. This boy is now reliable both on and off the leash, and is ready for any adventure that lies ahead. We can’t wait to see him enjoying life in the mountains & putting those new skills to use. Good boy Pines, we’re going to miss you! 💙

Today we’re also saying farewell to Ohana, while continues his journey with Ben !

When Ohana first came to me, he struggled with impulse control, spatial pressure, and had no problem using his teeth to navigate through uncomfortable situations. Leash pressure sent him into a panic and he didn’t want to engage with me whatsoever (stranger danger was real). And to top it all off, he already has some bites on his record.

We’ve worked so hard these last few weeks to re-establish his relationship with the leash, kennel & other tight spaces, where he doesn’t feel the need to immediately fall into “fight or flight” mode. We’ve set some boundaries and given him some appropriate ways to channel his drive and turn it off when needed. With continued structure, I know this boy will continue to do great work. Good boy Ohana 💙
