BIG NEWS!! Please read this post in its entirety!

As many of you know, several months ago, I received an offer to buy Animed of Bell Fork and accepted! We are now close to closing time, and with that, will be closing the chapter of Animed, and opening the chapter of Shoreline Veterinary Hospital!

So what does this mean for our clients?

1. We will be changing computer systems and will no longer have a system that communicates with Animed in Hubert. We are parting on good terms and will still maintain a close working relationship with Animed. You by no means have to choose us or them! We are both here to continue to care for your pets!

2. If you are currently a client of Animed of Bell Fork, your records will automatically transfer to Shoreline Veterinary Hospital. If you have a current physical exam with Animed in Hubert, but have been receiving medication refills from us, you will be able to continue filling meds here until your annual exam is due.

3. If you have an upcoming appointment with Animed of Bell Fork, nothing will change! Same date, same time, same Dr. Slater, new hospital name!

4. We will be launching new social media, website and online store, more information to come, so keep your eyes on our page for announcements and updates!

5. BEAR WITH US!! This is going to be quite the transition for us too. We will continue to be open normal business hours through this transition so please give us grace as we learn to navigate a new computer system!

6. Our hours and appointment structure will remain the same! We still offer walk-ins daily and emergency care, because you can’t plan for your pet to be sick!

7. We are doing everything we can to make this as seamless of a transition as possible. I’m so excited for the next step and I’m so proud to say this business is going to be mine! It has been an absolute pleasure to serve as the Veterniarian at this location since 2017 and I am so looking forward to great things to come! A huge thank you to my loyal clients and to all my staff going through this transition with me! I couldn’t do this without your continued support!

PUPDATE!

I’m so grateful to everyone that shared sweet Cane’s post! He finally got his forever home and forever couch!!

Oh my goodness, this dog broke my heart today. His name is Cane and he is the longest resident of Onslow County Animal Services. He is an older gentleman, but has so much love to give! He got adopted, but his new adopters had to return him because he wasn’t a big fan of their cat. When I saw him at the shelter this morning, this normally happy boy was so depressed! He wouldn’t get up off his bed and wouldn’t even wag his tail. He had all of the signs of giving up on finding his family. I went into his run and pet his head and got a few tail wags out of him and he eventually got up to give me a hug, but as soon as I walked out he turned around and got back in his bed. Cane does have some arthritis and would probably need some meds to help him with long term comfort. He is also heartworm positive, but don’t let that deter you. It can be treated and there is a wonderful partner of the shelter that helps sponsor treatment! Somebody please take this sweet boy home!

We will be closed starting Monday January 23rd until January 31st
You can message our Facebook or text our office number for medication refills needed. We will have staff in office doing a much needed paint job, so we can still be on site to fill certain medications.

We are quickly approaching on the holidays! Our office will be closed for a long weekend starting Friday 12/23 and opening for normal hours Wednesday 12/28.

While supplies last we are extending our vaccine clinic pricing to a few days during our business hours!
First date in office is December 28th from 2-4 and the second date is January the 3rd! All proceeds will go to emergency cases that cannot afford treatments and one our surrendered cases surgery costs.
No exams will be performed unless at owner’s request for additional costs.

This sweet old man was found as a stray and is being fostered by one of our staff while trying to find his owner! He has a skin infection and needs some medication for his achy joints. If anyone would like to donate towards additional care (heartworm test, flea prevention, vaccines, soft food, sweater) his name is Taz for now 💙
